Social Profile:

MOTW Coffee & Pastries is a cozy and charming coffee shop that has been serving the community since 1998. I love offering delicious drinks and tasty treats like our famous pistachio lattes, Spanish lattes, and authentic Yemeni chai. We also bake fresh pastries, empanadas, and cakes daily. I wanted to create one of the most vibrant and cute coffee shops in the area, filled with uplifting artwork and fast, friendly service. As one of the favorite local cafes in Skokie, we provide a welcoming space with WiFi for you to relax or work. I’m so happy to offer what many call the best Skokie coffee experience. Our Skokie cafe is your perfect spot for coffee with wifi. We are proud to be a go-to cafe Skokie residents love, serving the best coffee.

such a beautiful shop. friendly staff. and that chicken empanada is my new found obsession. it’s the perfect level of spice with the most aromatic and delightful seasonings. and the crust is so buttery and delicious. to top it all off it’s given to you as if fresh out of the oven. and their strawberry matcha reminds me of a strawberry milkshake ! so good.

Such a wholesome and beautiful little shop. The empanadas were delicious, wish that it was slightly crispy. The brown sugar chai latte was on the sweeter side but very tasty.

It was amazing experience to learn about coffee from another culture. All details are rich and magnific!

The lady was super polite and gently gave me a MOTW family card, each 10 starts I can take a small coffee for free.

I really enjoyed the interior design.

The Pumpkin White Mocha was amazing! It was very sweet but that’s what you expect when you order this! The Bacon and Egg Empanada wasn’t the best tasting, the egg was a bit dry. But it was a great size for the price so still great. I spent $17 – I was hoping it would be under $15 but it’s similar to Starbucks pricing.

The coffee I got was great! I’m getting more into sugar free options and they had multiple sugar free syrups to choose from which other cafes don’t. They were able to make a caramel macchiato all sugar free!! The people that are working there were really kind and very friendly and they were really fast, it took 5 min to get my drink and my friend’s drink. The place is also cute and had simple vibes and reminds me of cafes back home. I will definitely be back!

I had such a fantastic experience here! The coffee was absolutely perfect—rich, smooth, and clearly made with care. You can really taste the quality in every sip. I tried the late and it was hands down one of the best I’ve had in a long time.

The service was just as impressive. Shahid was incredibly friendly, welcoming, and knowledgeable. He took the time to explain the menu and made great recommendations. You can tell they genuinely enjoy what he does, and it makes all the difference.

The atmosphere was warm and inviting, making it the perfect place to relax or catch up with a friend. I’ll definitely be coming back—and bringing others with me!

Highly recommended for coffee lovers and anyone who appreciates top-notch service.

Great new cafe in Skokie next to Old Orchard that serves up different types of drinks from coffees to smoothies and teas, as well as pastries both savory and sweets, and other merchandise.

The only thing I don’t like is they charge $8 for empanadas. Ive never in my life seen an empanada that expensive. For the location and atmosphere I would expect that price from a spot in Lincoln Park or West Loop, but not here.

It was bustling on its grand opening and alot of fun and the family who started this place were there and quite friendly.

While there are other coffee shops in the area that are doing exceptionally well, this one is worth checking out.

The honey lavander coffee was good even the picadillo empanada and biscoff cake. The only thing is they should put a sign saying sold out certain item that way customers knows it instead they want to tried the food but it was sold out. Otherwise the food is delicious and the place is nice and neat.

Bright, clean, and welcoming cafe. Staff is very friendly and helpful with selections. They have some specially drinks and a variety of pastries. Even a small selection of books, art, and some stickers. I found it while looking for a evening option of a place to get a bit of work done. Did not disappoint, highly recommend.
