Worst Chinese food I’ve had in a while. Better off saving your money and going the distance to Panda Express about 3 miles away on 3rd. I was served very overfried sweet and sour chicken with old smelling (and probably tasting like feet if I could guess what old feet tasted like) rice. The place looks clean probably because nobody goes in there. On top of the cashier didn’t understand much English. I would not recommend anyone eat here; EVER.

We order here quite often we love there orange chicken and generals chicken and chicken low mien, I scored 2 stars because we tried a different dish which was shrimp broccoli and the second we open the container you can instantly smell the shrimp being dirty. It wasn’t cleaned that we couldn’t eat or enjoy the dish we had to throw it outside because it stank up the kitchen.

Guys, I beg you, please do better. Kearney needs a good quality Chinese restaurant. I ordered the kung pao chicken and beef lo mein. The kung pao chicken had deep fried chicken parts in it, along a with the sauce which is normally a bit oily. The chicken was soggy because the batter it was fried in soaked up the sauce, making it an awful texture. You could improve this dish by a lot by not using breaded chicken. The beef lo mein was basically spaghetti noodles instead of authentic lo mein noodles. The flavor was okay, more like a Cantonese flavor than Szechuan. As such it was kind of sweet, with a dominant plum/anise flavor. Szechuan lo mein is usually garlicky and savory, which was what I was expecting. Not terrible but I wouldn’t crave this.

The food is delicious! They have the best lemon chicken and orange chicken around!

The young lady behind the counter is outstanding, kind and very personable. It is a delight each time I go in and see her knowing we will have a wonderful interaction. Even though the restaurant has been there a long time, and feels a bit rundown, she single handedly creates a great and welcoming atmosphere.

In kearney, they’ve got the best Chinese food for the best price. The menu item label spicy are not that spicy if you actually enjoy spices and heat but in the Midwest it’s probably pushing boundaries .

Seriously love this place, cumin beef is so good as well as sesame chicken definitely my top recommendations!

It’s more like Chinese fast food, but it’s delicious. I visited for both lunch and dinner. The restaurant wasn’t too busy, and the food came out faster than I expected.

This was quite good! 5 on atmosphere- place was nice and clean. Thats all i can ask. Service was excellent -the two ladies working this evening were friendly and professional. Food was excellent. I got General Tso’s chicken. It was nice and crispy. Chicken tasted fresh and wasn’t cooked to smithereens. It’s a little on the sweet side but that’s not uncommon. I could have used a tad more heat but I have some Chinese hot oil at home that can take care of that. Overall an excellent experience I will definitely be back.

If you’re thinking about ordering from New China Express In Kearney. DON’T. We got Mongolian beef for $18. (W/$4 extra mushroom) and this is what we got compared to my chicken lo mein. After being polite on the phone for 10 minutes all they said was is that someone would drive back here and refund us and take the entree. Instead of either brining us the proper amount what we paid for or just getting refunded and told to keep the food. I guess we’ll go hungry. $42 later. Plus they raised the prices and gave us less food. Terrible customer service. We will NEVER order from here again…

I ordered $40.00 worth of food thinking we were going to receive our “free crab rations” it was listed on my order online, but my receipt doesn’t show them I received from the store. I’ve called last night they were closed but the time we got home and today is Tuesday and are closed. hoping to get them with my next order. It was a disappointment!
We will see if they make it right.
