JinCook (Santa Clarita) has one of the friendliest staff I have come across. They seated us right away and offered water while we looked at the menu. Although the noise level was a little loud, as they were busy, the waitress was able to get our orders in. We had the chicken katsu, pork katsu, and cheese katsu for our main dish while sharing a bulgogi Korea pancake that had the perfect amount of crunchy on the outside. The salad that comes with the katsu is just shredded cabbage, but with the small, traditional side dishes they give you, mixing them in gives you more flavor. I recommend trying their Korean lemonade. It was very delicious and, in my opinion, better than regular lemonade. The location is in a shopping center, so there is plenty of parking, and there is handicap accessibility.

Food is USUALLY on point in this Jin Cook location. The taste is USUALLY consistently good. I’ve gone to other locations (one in the SF valley too yes) and I prefer this one better. Food USUALLY comes out HOT, fresh, appealing to the eyes (very important), and taste is USUALLY clean and yummy. There’s a big long table that can seat 10 of us easy but there’s also booth seating that can accommodate 4 to 6, smaller 2 person tables also available. This location’s dining area layout is better and more spacious. It gets packed in there and busy but doesn’t feel stuffy. I often come here at least once a month with my family and they’re usually on point in service, quick to take orders, quick to bring out food, attentive to customer needs, often checks on people. However, I gave poor measly star rating for service last night for the female and male (unkempt appearance) young servers who were there. They seemed very distracted (or flirting?) and SLOW. We had to ask for the Banchan dishes to be brought out, twice. The first tofu soup I ordered before all the rest of the party (of 9) came in, took so long it beat the purpose of ordering early. I wanted to start off with it to warm up since last night was too cold. It came out second to the dishes along with others. That was closing in 30 min wait. Tofu soup that I come here for and usually get super fast, last night took the longest route. It had more to do with the distracted employees. The hot tea that my daughter ordered in the beginning, had to be asked twice and the girl server seemed like she forgot. The small dishes that usually came out with the utensils in the beginning HAD TO BE ASKED from a distracted male server and he forgot and didn’t bring them and so we asked them the second time from the distracted female server. I usually don’t say these things but the OWNER OF JIN COOK needs to be aware that something like this happened. Those two seemed having chummy times, flirting, hanging out, they were overheard having friendly convos while working and they were not shy about carrying on their chummy vibes as one pulled an empty serve cart and the other pulled another for dirty dishes. So disappointing experience. I will have to remind myself to redo this review on better times and experience with them when I go back. It’s not cheap to eat here. Your prices are up there in comparison to K-town prices. I get it and appreciate it only because of convenience, it beats having to drive all the way down to valley or Ktown. But I imagine the price also covers the ambience and atmosphere. The heater is usually on and place is warm but last night it was cold and drafty. Did they forget that too? And to top it off, this is the killer. We had a child with us who wanted a simple curry and rice order. Tell me why they served this child LAST, after all the major adult dishes came out already and we had to remind them to get his food out?? Oh and that expensive braised ribs we ordered also did not have the cheese melt on top. So what was the male unkempt server using the torch blower at tableside for then? The usual juicy appetizing dish we always enjoy and order was very dry and uninviting last night. We got there at 750p, most sat by 8p, compete orders in by same time, but was served poorly and you ever feel like you got the remnant food for the day? The tofu soup on bottom of pot all sticky and slimy at same time? I’ve had this fresh and cleaner before and many times.

We returned to Jin Cook and we ordered “Kal Guk Soo and Spicy Braised Short Ribs”. Both were delicious.

The condiments were basic. The marinated onions and radishweres our favorites. We liked the steamed rice. The prices are on the high end but this is normal. We will definitely will return to try something else in the near future. Every employee is very friendly and knowledgeable regarding their menu.

Service was very good. Spicy Pork was the best but for Kimchi soup in my opinion it’s not as good as I thought (only in my opinion but my husband likes it). A bit pricey but worth it!We’ll come back again for Spicy Pork %

Beyond disappointed! Very poor service and quality!!! The Japchae was sweet, noodles were not edible. We asked to return or at least exchange it but they refused. Basically forced us to pay for something we did not eat. The soft tofu stew with mushrooms had hardly any stew, I could tell that the mushrooms were canned. Just awful!

This restaurant used to be Sushi California. Then it turned into another sushi restaurant called All About Sushi. Now it’s a Korean restaurant. I will say that the remodel of the place looks great.

As for the food, I ordered the Pork Katsu (no curry) and it was juicy and crispy. But the other items I ordered, I wasn’t so happy with.

I ordered a beef bone broth soup. The first time it came out, it was missing the glass noodles. So they had to take it back. When I finally got to try it, it literally tasted like water with a hint of beef. No seasoning whatsoever. The soup was tolerable after I added my own salt and pepper. Also, there was hardly any beef in it.

The other item I ordered was the seafood pancake that came out last because it took them an HOUR to cook. When it came out, it looked and tasted slightly burnt on the outside. But on the inside, it was slightly mushy.

As for the waiters/waitresses: there were too many IMO. 5 of them (not including the owner/manager) for such a small restaurant. I think the food wasn’t coming out fast enough, so they didn’t have much to do except come to our table every 5 minutes and ask us if everything was ok. And when one table would leave, there were 3 people cleaning that one small table.

This place isn’t worth going back again unfortunately. It’s definitely overpriced and the flavor is just not there.

Nice Korean restaurant. Very recommended. It was during labor day, only two servers for the entire crowds and yet they managed to serve us perfectly.
