The place is very unassuming, and is very well kept, clean and comfortable. I’m not one that goes often to what I would call a “fancy” restaurant, but motus was very approachable, with wonderful food.
The food was absolutely incredible, from the amuse bouche all the way through our entrees, it was all served hot, obviously cooked to order, and each plate just as delicious as the next.
I had the mushroom polenta to start with, the motus burger and the sweet corn grits. Just amazing…
The service was also just as good. Nikki, our server, was just the right amount of attentive, and was knowledgeable about the food. For a smaller place, one would expect that they need to turn over tables quickly, but not here. It was comfortable and we never felt rushed.
I would highly recommend motus to anyone in the area, and it’s proximity to the Stanley makes it a perfect place for a pre-show dinner.
We will definitely be back…and soon.
Our server was wonderful and attentive. They also gave us complimentary champagne because we were celebrating.
The atmosphere was very relaxed and made it so you could enjoy a fancy meal to celebrate a special occasion but also not stuffy so you could just swing by for a weeknight meal as well.
I would absolutely come back again.
Many of the wines and are local – a few are from the finger lakes. From the cocktails, the môtus Sour was delicious; the Heatwave looked awesome though I didn’t try it. I wish I had more info on the source of the ingredients.
Starting with a complementary sourdough bread, butter and a shot of pea soup was a nice surprise. The sourdough bread was slightly warm, crunchy on the outside soft on the inside to perfection – very delicious.
The cauliflower steak dish was a good vegetarian option and I appreciate the added walnuts for healthy fats and protein.
The môtus burger was an amazing experience – flavorful, juicy, perfectly cooked and the best part is that it’s made with local beef.
The white truffle fries complemented the burger perfectly. Oh, and wait – house made ketchup!!
The vegetables are mostly sourced from local farms when in season.
My grand finale was the Pineapple Hummingbird Cake with Jones Family Farm Cream Cheese.
And just when I thought I was done, the check came with lavender and honey.
