Had an excellent meal tonight at Buck Lake Bar and Grill. Our first time stopping here and the food was awesome. Everything was very high quality. I had the Nashville chicken sandwich. It was large and very flavorful. Only complaint I could think of is I wish the sandwich had pickle chips rather than a spear but that certainly wasn’t a deal breaker.

Not only is the atmosphere calming and peaceful, but the food was phenomenal! By far, the best food I’ve ever eaten in a bar and grill style restaurant. The Walleye was succulent and I’ve never tasted such flavorful broccoli in my 46 years.

Food looked good just didn’t have much flavor. Cod dinner had no seasoning on it but some salt. Garlic shrimp pasta was mainly butter with some garlic flavor, noodles weren’t completely cooked through. Didn’t have any prime rib that was advertised on the online menu which was the reason we went there. For the prices of the food we expected better quality.Was clean and well kept dinning area, waitress was friendly. Older couple asked if they had any desert and was told no.

I got takeout via DoorDash, picked it up myself. The restaurant/bar is super cute, tucked away behind the main street businesses. With a name that includes “lake”, it seems odd that it’s not ON the lake, but ♀️
My food was done on time (I scheduled it) and nice and hot even once I got back to my hotel 15 minutes later. I got the Nashville hot sliders, they are a good size and taste great! For reference, their medium is equal to Thai level 1, haha. I will definitely try “hot” next time. But they taste great!
I got macaroni and cheese as my side, and an extra side of Brussels sprouts with bacon. I was a little leery of both – neither look particularly special in takeout containers. But, they taste great! (For the record, I ate one slider before I thought to take pictures!)
For the price, speed, and quality, I’ll certainly go back. Maybe next time I will have the time to dine in! Their bar looked nice and comfy!

The owner has done a great job with the renovation and updating it from what it used to be. It’s cozy with the added fireplace and has a relaxing vibe. The food is really good. The tenderloin sandwich is huge. The fish basket is tasty. If you’re a local and remember Miss Vicky’s potato salad, they have it!!

The brussel sprouts were excellent with bacon bits sprinlked on and had a touch of sweetness. The garlic mashed potatoes tasted like instant potatoes made with water. Very little flavor and not creamy.
I had the fish dinner, and it was great. Lightly breaded and flakey.

The Christmas mule and margaritas were as good as any we’ve had. The beer cheese app was delicious. I had the spicy meatball dinner. My husband had the ribs. Both meals were very tasty. Ribs fell off the bone. Friendly and attentive staff. We will be back !!!
