I was in the area and craving a healthy sandwich, so I decided to try Amir’s for the first time since it’s a halal spot and had a grilled chicken sandwich option on the menu that sounded like exactly what I was looking for.
Unfortunately, the experience was pretty disappointing. The sandwich was supposed to come with lettuce, but I honestly couldn’t find any in it. Instead, it was packed with oil, red peppers, garlic sauce, and pepper jack cheese. The amount of oil made the sandwich feel really heavy and far from the “healthy” option I was hoping for. Honestly, the grilled chicken itself tasted like it could have been really good on its own, but everything else completely overpowered it. I ended up having to take a lot of the stuff out just to make it edible.
Another small but frustrating thing was that they didn’t include napkins in the bag, which you definitely need when a sandwich is that oily. Good thing I asked for some before leaving.
Parking around the area is also pretty difficult, so unless you get lucky it can take a while to find a spot. The restaurant itself is cute, but it definitely needs some major improvements overall.
I really hope they improve this sandwich because it had potential and it’s one of the only “healthy” options on the menu. It would be great if they actually made it the way it’s described — simple, fresh, and balanced — because that’s what I was really looking forward to.

2 years later and this Zinger sandwich still hasn’t disappointed. Consistent deliver of a quality sandwich that’s crunchy, full of flavor, and very generous in portion size. I can only hope others take lessons on how to deliver the perfect chicken sandwich over and over again.

A great spot for a burger!
The classic burger was truly excellent. The burger patties were delicious and the cheese and sauce only elevated the burger to greater heights. One of the best burgers in town.
The fries were great. Seasoned and lightly crisped.
The chocolate shake was delightful and wasn’t too sweet.
Would recommend!

Not to be dramatic, but this is straight up one of the absolute best burgers I’ve had in my life. I was passing through the area for work, and saw that this place was nearby and had good reviews. Ordered a burger and fries, and it was all mouth-wateringly delicious. It was so good, that I ordered two more burgers to-go for my family 4 hours north. 1000/10 Would stop here again.

I saw this place on instagram of recommended places to try and this place was worth the trip. The food was 10/10. The owner and staff were cool enough to hook us up with some of there famous Animal style Fries and they were amazing.

The best burger I ever had in my life! The classic is absolutely delicious and simplistic. It’s tasty. The animal fries are not my favorite but the staff is very accommodating. Wait times can be worked on but all in all, I highly recommend this place if you’re looking for quality and delicious burgers! Plus they are 100 percent halal !

Had a Don burger and some seasoned fries and the food was actually really good. It’s kinda hard to mess up a burger but these guys are pumping out some killer food and I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t enticed to try out that spicy burger they have. Aside from the burger being good, the fries were well seasoned and crispy. Prices weren’t too bad for what you got and my only complaint is that I felt the burgers had a tad bit too much sauce, and that’s coming from a fat dude who seldom complains about too much sauce. The sauce itself on the burger was tasty so no complaints there, and I’ll definitely be back.

10/10 halal sports bar / restaurant. Have to say, this is the best zinger sandwich I’ve had. The right of crunchy & flavor without overdoing it. Really trumps the competition both in the area and around NYC. The Don Burger takes a cheeseburger to a whole new level, with tender beef that is clearly of high quality, cooked to perfection. Staff is more than accommodating, & the owner makes you feel at home when you visit. Would highly recommend for families, date night, or a night out with the boys. Large TV screens host all of the major sporting events, & there is a lot of foot traffic for take out orders. Overall would definitely dine in again, looking forward to having that Zinger again.
