Ordered from here last night at 730 for the first time. I love Indian food I’ve had some really good ones in Toronto and this is definitely one of my favourites easily in my top 2. Ordered on DoorDash and the food all was so hot and fresh I was shocked. Amazing food have already recommended to few ppl I’m sure they will try it out very shown

What great food! We took our grandsons ages 7 and 9 . We had butter chicken, lamb tikka masala, chicken curry, rice, and buttered naan bread. We all loved it and the portions are big. Took the leftovers home. Had cutlery not plastic. Will definitely go back again.

Hidden gem in Cobourg!
My husband and I were craving a really good Indian meal. Given that we have travelled quite extensively, we were looking for an authentic meal that captures Indian cuisine and although others have come somewhat close, the Tandoor Smoke nails it.
The Chef makes his own garam masala and each dish is authentic and true to Indian and Desi cuisine. This is a no-frills, no white linen tablecloth restaurant but it’s food is truly magnificent. The Chef introduced himself at our table (we have dined there and had several take outs) and his love of cooking is handled down through generations.
It’s so good our friends are coming from Mississauga to eat there next weekend! It’s truly a hidden gem, tucked away in a quiet street, making phenomenal food! Highly, highly recommend the biryanis, butter chicken, Pershwari naans, and their mango lassi is amazing!

Tandoori Smoke serves freshly cooked, exceptional dishes, that’s full of authentic, mouth watering, aromatic flavours. They offer the perfect amount of selections of both meat and vegetarian options and is not overly spicy. The portions are perfectly priced and the sizes are great enough to allow for leftovers and I guarantee you’ll experience the same flavour explosion of homemade deliciousness!

The paneer curry was so greasy and fatty we didn’t even feel like eating it. They literally put 5 pieces of chicken on the rice the and called it “chicken tikka biryani”. The rice was super dry with no raita or gravy with it. I would not recommend this place.

The food here is amazing. The spices, the tenderness of the meat, the rice, the garlic naan!!! My god I’m salivating as I’m writing this review. I really can’t say enough about this place. If you have a taste for authentic Indian food then this place is a must. I repeat a must. The atmosphere is pleasant yet simple. The staff are delightfully wonderful. If there was one drawback it would have to be what you eat off of. Plastic utensils and paper plate. Having said that everything else more than compensates for this minor nuance. The pricing is very reasonable just to top it all off. This restaurant is a must if you are ever in Cobourg! Congratulations Tandoori Smoke, you guys are definitely not smokin, you’re on fire!

I had the aloo gobi, with pulao rice and naan. It was one of the best I have had. The addition of peas was a pleasant treat.
