Great little diner with very affordable menu with homestyle cooking. Make sure to bring cash because it is cash only but the lunch was great! Had the club sandwich with curly fries and a root beer and it might been a little over 10$. Heard breakfast is the best just get there by 11!

Extremely good food. Small place but very friendly vibe. Bring cash, they do not accept credit cards. Highly recommend.

Legit family diner. Went to mountains for hiking, got rained out. Instead visited the caverns. Next day, enjoyed a nice breakfast. Sliced potatoes were very interesting. Never had them like that before!

A mostly locals diner with incredible food. Cash Only! Joined some friends for breakfast and it was packed. The high reviews and activity held up. Our waitress was prompt and attentive to us and many other tables. Our bacon, egg, and cheese biscuits were insane. The biscuits were fresh, soft but firm, and did not crumble one bit. The bacon was straight up the best breakfast bacon I have ever had. Best bacon I’ve ever had on a sandwich or burger. It was crisped to perfection. PERFECTION! The sausage gravy and biscuit was also tremendously good. The entire table cleaned their plates and were all beyond satisfied. So much so that some of us returned another day for lunch (we missed breakfast unfortunately). Same staff as before and just as good of a job. The locals told us to seat ourselves so we did. Very courteous. Our lunch meals were very good but took second to breakfast. My only feedback was the bacon on the second meal wasn’t perfect like before. Had it been cooked a little longer, I imagine it would’ve been amazing. Definitely returning to hopefully experience that bacon once more. Fantastic place!

This was the ideal old school small town diner. Owned and operated by a family who had lived there their whole lives. We felt apart of that family for our one meal there. Our biggest regret not going back for a second meal. We both shared some mozzarella sticks delicious. I had a good old fashioned cheeseburger cooked to order perfection she got the tuna salad sandwich. We also got a side of macaroni salad and curly fries. Everything was delicious wish we could have tried more food. Do yourself a favor and visit this treasure while you’re there.

Good Ol’ country diner with generous portions of good food served with a smile. We had eggs, scrambled and fried, corned beef hash, potatoes with onions, bacon, country ham, toast, english muffin, gravy biscuit, french toast, pancake and coffee. Least favorite but not bad was the gravy biscuit.

It was such a small but awesome restaurant!
We went there for a lunch. I couldn’t believe that the price still kept so low while the price of everything else is soaring.
I ordered a butter dipped fish. It tasted wonderful. The fish was so juicy and tender. And the shell was crunchy. The pea salad was very creamy. I like the texture it provided. I am feeling so hungry while writing this review.
The waitress was very nice, friendly and attentive.
I would definitely go again if I go hunting nearby next time.

The food is amazing and the personnel and owners are very personable friendly and accommodating. We arrived and was seated in the back immediately, we almost had 20 people. The owner (or son of the owner) kept watching us to make sure we are okay. He told us that he cooks a lot of the homemade food and his mom taught him. We talked for a little and he said he was in our hometown fishing and he saw our home, farm etc… Highly recommend this restaurant!

If you are looking for a step back in time – in a good way – this is a great place for a meal. The hospitality is friendly and shows a work ethic that is hard to find these days. The atmosphere is cozy. My husband’s burger disappeared quickly (into his tummy I suspect), and the onion rings ate well. My chicken-fried steak was HOT (temperature) and fork tender. Being from Colorado we found the price much lower than expected. As a heads up, it is cash only. The Hawksbill is definitely a diner in a memorable way.

What you’d expect from a small town diner. Good food and service was fast. Seat yourself so sometimes if it’s busy it can be a bit weird to either wait for a table to be cleaned off or just sit at the dirty table.
