This place has really excellent food. Every time we come I’m always really pleased. They get coleslaw right. Thanks!

We love Old School Tavern for the delicious food, neighborhood-feel atmosphere, and excellent service. Highly recommend the lake perch meal; it’s outstanding. Save room for dessert, too, because the donut holes are delish! I’m personally not a meat eater, but those in our party absolutely raved about the burgers. Be sure to also sample some of the appetizers. We enjoyed the pretzels and the grilled brussel sprouts.

Went on Wednesday for burger night after our volleyball team won some games. Great beer selection, yummy burger, got a nice little dessert too. If available the brisket here is spectacular but it’s a rare event.

Went back again after volleyball and it’s still a nice local spot. Burger was good fries were very good. Nice rotating taps of beers

I came from San Francisco to visit a friend and was interested in trying out a cozy neighborhood pub. This place gave me ‘Cheers’ vibes (loved the banter between the patrons and the proprietor) we got the BLT which was super tasty. Non-pretentious, good food-drinks + relaxed ambiance…just what we were searching for!

What a great find. This little local bar is amazing. The owner/bartender/waiter/cook is unbelievable. The locals there were do welcoming and genuine. The food was fabulous and the atmosphere was even better. If your ever in Chicago please stop and pay a visit. You won’t be disappointed

Menu on website does not match takeout menu. Ordered a chili & a LARGE caesar salad as per their wording. They were out of chili so I was refunded for that. The salad had chicken in the picture online so I thought I was getting chicken. My oversight is my bad on the chicken but the serving of salad I got is barely enough for a small bowl. The lettuce was wilted & they threw two random croutons in there. So I was basically charged $11 for a side salad and a bad one at that. Won’t be patronizing again.

Food was good. We had a bacon cheeseburger and a pot roast sandwich. The bacon was fried to ashes, so not good. The fries were a little off as well, maybe they sat too long partially fried. Just not the right texture and flavor somehow. Bartender Mike was our server, and he was very attentive and friendly. Nice local bar vibe.
