The Marketplace Kitchen & Cafe is a cozy spot for breakfast or lunch and has been a local favorite for years. It’s always a good stop, with excellent bakery items and consistently high-quality food, even if it’s not the cheapest option. I had the Shay’s Rebellion roast beef sandwich—my go-to—and it was, as always, delicious.

Absolutely fantastic!! We were in town for a hockey game and stopped by for lunch/breakfast. They were extremely accommodating for us with dietary needs, especially our three year old. They went out of their way to put a smile on his face. My egg bowl with arugula was FANTASTIC. I highly recommend the guacamole, too.

I would love to be able to give this place a high rating. Unfortunately due to the fact that they never answer the telephone for me to check and see what is available there, I cannot do so. Interesting that when you call the corporate offices they tell you that this location is so busy that is a line going out the door and that’s why they can’t answer the phone. In all my years of going there I have never seen a line. Perhaps they should consider hiring another person or have the phone relay to the corporate offices. That’s just called smart business. Well you don’t get my money anymore.

Most mornings I enjoy my breakfast at home. However I was passing through Sheffield and needed some mid morning nourishment. BINGO! I hit the jackpot at the Marketplace. The best and biggest slice of apple pie I’ve had in a long while. If I’m ever that way again I’ll be sure to stop by for another slice. The only drawback was plastic forks!! The counter guy said he was too busy to get me stainless. I’m not a fan of plastic. Had it been recyclable or bamboo I’d be all in.
