Pinyon is a neighborhood woodfired restaurant, sourdough bakery, and wine bar. Our pricing is inclusive of food, operating, and labor costs. This model allows us to source the highest quality local produce and pay our team members a livable wage. We do not expect any additional gratuity. From the flour in our pizza and bread, to the grapes in the wines we serve, everything we offer is farmed organically on a small scale. These products are not only more delicious, better for your health, but also more sustainable for the planet and our local economy. In addition to a $25/hr starting wage, we have a quarterly distribution of profits to our team and a 5% 401k match. This has allowed us to retain staff and build a dignified work culture.

My wife and I came here for a date night while vacationing in Ojai. THIS RESTAURANT IS PAIRED WITH RESY for all the AMEX card holders out there.
The menu changes from week to week as it is freshly sourced ingredients.
The service was excellent. Everyone was extremely helpful and informative. They sit you down at a table and give you a menu, and oddly, you have to go up in order, but that isn’t really take away from anything. The entire restaurant is open concept inside as well, so you can see the oven and the people making the pizza pretty much right in front of you. They had a bit of outdoor seating as well.
The appetizer we received was the fire roasted bread with the fancy sauce. That was excellent. Probably the best thing of the night.
Next we got the pizzas. My wife has that sort of veggie/margarita pizza. It’s been a minute, so i apologize for not remembering the name. She LOVED it. I got the meat pizza. I also enjoyed very much enjoyed it.
Lastly we bought a couple glasses of wine.
In the end, this was pretty expensive for a pizza restaurant, but with Reggie it helped out a little bit. I would definitely come back but not at full price. It was amazing pizza and obviously the ingredient thing made a huge difference.

Went here for Valentine’s Day dinner with my husband. Everything was amazing. Fantastic service, delicious food, good ambiance. They were very accommodating for allergies. I would definitely dine here again.

Yes the pictures show already finished plates however that just shows that it was good food. We ordered the chicory caesar salad, hearth bread, porco rosso and pinyon pizza. It all came out moderately timed. The porco rosso pizza was the star of the meal. They do carry Dr. Browns natural soda which pairs really well. Service was moderate compared to other customers who received their orders sooner than us and were sat about half an hour after we were.

Pinyon is a must-go for you next trip to Ojai! The staff there are very kind and laid back, and really know the menu well. We got two pizzas, the giant beans and the broccolini. If you go, GET THE BROCCOLINI! It’s finely cut with small pieces of date and some Calabrian chile, which makes for a super interesting veggie order. They also gave us a free sesame baguette on the way out – these people know their bread!

A nice spot for a casual meal of salad and pizza. The salad dressing was unique and really tasty, while the pizza itself wasn’t particularly special but had a wholesome, healthy flavor. They don’t serve soda, so I tried the kombucha instead, which is locally made in Ojai—and it was surprisingly delicious.
The atmosphere inside really captures the local Ojai vibe. If you plan to visit, make sure to check out the restroom—it’s definitely worth a stop!

Thoroughly enjoyable! Exquisite pizza pie with a light finish and amazing flavor. Will joyfully finish one to myself as I stare into the fiery dome from whence it came!!! Good food aside, you must take a trip to the lavatory – thank me later!

A delightful surprise! Wasn’t our first choice for dinner but we ended up having an absolutely stunning meal. Ordering is a bit counter intuitive with the hybrid counter service / coursing, but the food more than makes up for it! The caesar salad was a lemony dream and the smokey goat cheese pizza was to die for! Will absolutely be coming back here.

This may have been our highlight of Ojai! My sister and I were looking for a lunch spot that wasn’t too expensive or fancy and ran across this great little place. Not only is the place full of personality and charm, with friendly workers, the food is Amazing!! We got a pizza to split and loved all of the interesting options, and loved ours with the pine nuts on top. The tiramisu was also incredible and very unique, and we picked up a fresh loaf of bread to go, looked too good to miss (and one guy walking out even recommended it as we were considering). (Also loved the themed bathroom, just so much thought and care put into this place).

Service was great everyone working there was really nice. I got the sandwich with cured meat and cheese. They then asked if I wanted to add “the works”. I then learned that if I didn’t pay two more dollars on an already high price tag sandwich that I would get a very plain sandwich. The quantity of cured meat and salami, was two ultra thin sad slices with two thin slices of cheese. The amount of hidden fees in ordering the sandwich took away so much from the nice atomosphere they have worked to create in there.
