This place is a hidden gem on Foster. I should try more of their menu, but I love the falafel gyro. It’s loaded with veggies (pickles, tomatoes, jalapeño, radish, carrots), seeds, olives. I’ve never had a gyro packed with this much goodness. Ali is very kind, more of a reason to support this business.

Home Partying
Ordered take out so I can’t comment on the service or atmosphere. Everything was packed up nicely. I grew up in the Middle East and this scratched the itch perfectly. The lamb shwarma was moist and delicious – melt in the mouth. The mezze with delightful falafel, hummus, and baba ghanjous was amazing. This place is the real deal!

The salads are unique.

Tried their new location out in Troutdale, very impressed how nice and spacious it is. Staff is very friendly and the food never disappoints, always fresh and flavorful! If you’re wanting good quality Mediterranean food this place is definitely a way to go!

Ishtar gate does it for me every dang time. I literally love them. Sometimes I think “why not try another place”. It’s never as good as Ishtar. It’s not even worth trying. I’ve learned my lesson. Im weird about meat, but their lamb is so good. Their veggies are so fresh. Their pickles are so crunchy. Idk girl if you’re reading this contemplating, this is your sign.

Believe it or not, Its the best falafel sandwich in Portland. Ive tried many from all those spendy middle eastern sit down restaurants and from plenty of the carts, but this one has the most veggies, pickles, hot sauce and yogurt sauce on it, meaning its moist, juicy, rich and saucy, just like it should be. Dont bother going any place else for a falafel. I am not joking!!!

This hit the spot! Delicious and warm, freshly made everything including the pita & iraqi naan. The chef is very friendly and clearly takes pride in his craft of food and customer service. Will return for the chicken kabab wrapped in fresh tortilla.

Amazing restaurant not the best for sit down as they only have one table and I’m usually occupying it! The fries are great they do a spice on them that is amazing. If you want “normal” fries just say no spice. The gyros are amazing. The main chef Sammi is the best and friendly as can be.
