February is Grilled Cheese month in Yamhill County and Conservatory Bar knocked it out of the park! I’ve been there several other times and every time I’ve been there the food has been great! They also have interesting made from scratch cocktails that are unique! It’s a bar so, respectfully no kids are allowed.

As a self proclaimed and validated food critic, they have THEE most flavorful burger I’ve ever had. The quality of the wagyu beef is unmatched!!! Their homemade ranch is and their fries are crispy and made in house! They recently added this new chicken sandwich to the menu and it is so filling.
In conclusion, amazing food, amazing vibe, local friendly ownership highly recommend!!!!

Just went here a few days ago was surprised to find out the atmosphere and everything inside has changed. They changed the fun special drinks, took down the cool art, removed the pride flag, and made the space eerie and dark. I felt like I should be having a business meeting and leaving rather than eating out with friends. I have since found out the past bartenders have also been fired and the space is under new management. I’m saddened to see such a fun and inviting space be turned into something drab and woefully uninviting. If you haven’t been before then it might be a place for you but as a local im disappointed.

Came here a couple years ago. Liked it then but love it now. The menue is limited but I like that in a place. Better chance the food will be fresh and the end product consistent and that’s what I always get. The burgers are smashed and caramelized. The brussel sprouts with balsamic glaze are a great snack but the atmosphere and Owner/Bartender is top shelf. When the rest of Mac rolls up the sidewalks for the night, he’s there. Not pushing or slinging drinks but will readily engage in good conversation. Its a great place to go, even alone, to grab a small bite, text and scroll. The cappuccino is great. If you want great service, quality consistent food and a chill, welcoming environment. You’ll find it here.

The Conservatory in McMinnville is an absolute gem. The vibe has a perfect balance of relaxed, welcoming, and classy. It’s the kind of place that feels just right for a date night or a place to meet a friend. I had been here a couple times before under the prior ownership, but this place has really improved.
The cocktails were outstanding and the food was fabulous. Every item we tried felt elevated in both quality and flavor. My favorite was the Philly cheesesteak sandwich.
This is exactly the kind of spot you want in your regular rotation. I’ll definitely be back and would highly recommend The Conservatory for a fabulous Friday night date night atmosphere or anytime you’re craving great food, great drinks, and great vibes.

Cutie little bar in town with such a pleasant ambiance. I tried the Cardamom Corpse — not too sweet, not too dry — just perfect. Definitely my go-to spot whenever I’m in town. Will be coming back for sure!

I had the best experience and also my first time. The drinks were outstanding flavors right on the point. The appetizers were perfectly cooked and the salad with salmon is something I enjoyed!!!! Don’t hesitate if you are in town and try this amazing restaurant!!! I will be back soon!

So I have been working the bars in this town for over a decade. One thing I have noticed is that people do not gravitate so well towards change in this town. Money comes in, attitudes show up, pitch forks come out…. normal stuff for a small town. I want to paint a picture for this place. There is new ownership, food has changed, staff has changed, and more than anything the DREAM has changed. This is going to happen people. You are going to have memories of places that no longer exist, you will have friends that no longer work here, life goes on. The direction I can see this bar going is only positive. The food is great, the heart behind the cocktail program is even better. This is a place to come get incredible drinks, great food, and great service. I have seen many places go through a transition. This one is going to be great. Give the conservatory a chance for your next night out, it will be worth it. Enjoy!

The new owner is an awesome guy. I understand a lot of the frustrations about the changes but he is doing a really great job making it his own place. The wagyu burger here is the best burger I’ve had in my life. Some of the other food items I’ve tried were sooo good as well. If you’re looking for good food this guy knows his stuff. The old bartenders are still here and still great. You just have to be patient with the newer staff and ownership and allow them to fully settle in. They’re super great.

Really used to love this place. I was extremely sad to see the mural gone to millennial grey base coat. I also miss the vegetarian options they used to have. It’s still a fine spot with good food but it’s not what it once was.
