Met this fella named Chase who apparently owns a magic wand when it comes to whole wheat flour. I mean, waddya think when someone mentions whole wheat anything? Most of the adjectives are not exactly glowing.. However, what these folks do with whole wheat flour is nothing short of Merlin-esque. Looking at the case I really knew what it felt like to be a hungry fish. “Here, try one of the donut holes.” Gotta have some donuts! Cinnamon roll? Gotta be as good as the donuts. And it was on from there. We’d already experienced the baguettes- so we had to have another. And the sandwichs loaves are every bit as tasty as the rest. Next purchase will be some of the whole grain granola. Got to try a small taste and fully convinced Merlin’s bag of tricks is in there. In all seriousness, nice little place to have coffee and a bun, pick up your daily baguette for dinner, or retrieving a loaf of bread for toast or sandwiches. We discovered the place quite by accident- they had a bag of goodies up on the 2GOOD TOGO App and the spouse scored! Very convenient on Washington Blvd. Neat as a pin inside. Other goodies as pictured for sale. Can’t go wrong here. Highly recommend!

Wild Shaped Bakery provided all the pastries for my baby shower, and it came out so cute and so tasty! Chase baked us an assortment of cinnamon rolls, scones, donuts, and cookies for a very fair price. Truly, it was perfect for what we wanted. It feels great to have supported a new local spot that is passionately supportive of local resources in his recipes.

Short quick review: Really good bread that doesn’t make you feel icky.
Long review: I was specifically looking for rye bread, and found this place on Google. I went into store and ended up buying quiche, donuts, and was given a sample of the rye.
Really good. Full stop. An example is the donuts, lets be honest you never walk away from a donut thinking like “yeah this won’t ruin my day”, but with this donut I did. It has a nice subtle sweet syrup(?) on the outside with a soft sourdough flavor. It’s dense like a cake donut, but isn’t.
The owner is fantastic. You can tell he is passionate about the product he offers and will answer any questions you have about how it was made and where it was made.
This is a great store if you love bread, especially if bread doesn’t love you back.

We stopped by the Wild Shaped Bakery booth at the Ogden farmers market this morning and what a treat it was!!!!! We got to learn all about the natural/unrefined/local ingredients that they use in their baked goods. We ended up getting a sourdough baguette, glazed donut, and cinnamon roll. All three were out of this world! Can’t wait to stop in to the store front and try more!

Good bread, sourdough croissants are good, and the round thing they call a donut is fine but it is very much not a donut. It is a donut shaped baked bread ring with light glaze. Again, the taste is fine but it is not a donut.

If you haven’t been here yet, you’re missing out! Locally sourced grains baked into a true artisan bread, your weekly loaf or daily delight… sweet, savory they got you! It’s limited, baked fresh daily so be sure to be early and get what you need when you need it. A wonderful addition to this space is fresh pressed juice, when you need a boost to your immune system this jar of juice will do just that! Local honey, jams and more all here in the heart of Ogden.

So happy to have come across their booth at the farmer’s market today! And to learn they have a bakery in my neighborhood! I’ve been searching for a good loaf of bread since I moved here a few years ago and finally, this is it. The sour dough baguette was just as it should be. Fresh and chewy on the inside, crusty on the outside. They’ve just gained a new loyal customer. Highly recommend!
