I stopped by the Lao Teng Thai Kitchen food truck and was blown away by the flavors. The Thainanese Chicken Rice was tender, flavorful, and paired with perfectly seasoned rice — simple yet so satisfying. The Khao Soi was the real standout: rich, creamy curry broth with just the right spice, soft noodles, and crispy toppings that made every bite special.
For a food truck, the quality and authenticity are exceptional. Service was quick and friendly, and you can really taste the care put into each dish. Definitely one of the best Thai food trucks I’ve tried — highly recommended

Just tried the new Lao Teng spot behind Madras Pub – wow! The Khao Man Gai (chicken rice) was amazing. Big, juicy pieces of chicken, perfectly cooked and tender. The sauce was rich, flavorful, and had just the right balance. Everything came together so well.
And with the jasmine green tea on the side – so fragrant and refreshing! Perfect combo. Highly recommend checking them out!

Today we have a chance to try Thai food in Madras Lao Teng. Thai Kitchen . We try a lot of things Tainannese Chicken , Grilled Chicken Tainannese, Khao Soi, Thai Crab Fried rice. Fried Wonton. Thai iced tea, Jasmine Green tea.
The Jasmine rice is perfect cook, all chicken is very tender also going well with all sauce. Khao soi is must try very delicious and intense of Thai herbs soup. Jasmine green tea and Thai tea is the best. Thai fried rice crab also cook perfectly. You should not miss this place.We absolutely recommended.

We had an exceptional lunch at Lao Teng Thai. I had Khao Soi with beef, and my husband had the same with chicken (comes fried or grilled, he had it fried). Both were super delicious – his chicken was lightly battered and perfectly fried, and my beef was cooked just right, tender with a touch of pink in the middle of each slice. The prices are reasonable, the protein is plentiful in each serving, and that sauce! Especially with a good squeeze of fresh lime, the Khao Soi sauce is so delicious – I finished the rest of it with a spoon after I ate the beef and noodles. Fantastic to stumble across Lao Teng today – I highly recommend you do the same!

This review is based only on the food. Since it is a food truck, I will not comment on atmosphere/ambience, it’s a truck in a parking lot. The food reminded me of Chinese-style fast food (e.g. Panda Express). We ordered the crispy garlic chicken and the khao soi, and neither were to our satisfaction. I’ve lived in big cities with many Thai restaurants… this one does not compare.
