This Is probably the definition of a small town hole in the wall. The parking lot in front is tiny, but its name comes from the fact that there is a train station across the street; definitely parking there.
Being the first time coming here, and before leaving already decided i will be coming back.
I don’t know if it is a local hang, or once you go you keep going till you become a regular.
The food was delicious!
Went for breakfast, but they also have a lunch menu.
So many options for things. Alot of breakfast sandwiches. Omelets. Platters. Pancakes or waffles.
Had the meat lovers Omelet, it was very good. No one thing over whelmed the tastes, it was well balanced.
Got a strawberry Pancake short stack as a sweet treat. I would sware them berrys were picked fresh this morning. And even tho it all relatively comes out at the same time. The Pancakes were still hot, fresh and fluffy, when i cut into them after i finished my whole Omelet.
This is a great breakfast place. Might not be perfect for large large groups. But i would still highly recommend this place.
I will be coming back for sure.

Average food, Nothing special.
But the bacon was thin and flavorless.
The staff was friendly.
Prices were reasonable.

Very small place in Secane. Great breakfasts with friendly staff. Kelly and Tara are great. Lots of locals and everyone seems to know everyone. Good breakfast that won’t break the bank!

Found this place about a month ago, and realized it is my local walk to spot! And they’ve been around for over 30 years! Could not be happier! Been there twice so far, quick and friendly service. The food, simply amazing! I like grits, but often they’re either too runny or too thick…finding those perfect goldilock grits is difficult… Train stops grits are just right! Truly the Goldilocks of grits! Awesome place all around, I highly recommend and will definitely be back soon.

Awesome old school greasy spoon. I watched the grill man make about 6 breakfasts while I waited for my cheesesteak. The french toast looked really good. He hand slices each potato as he gets an order for home fries. Cheese steak was equivalent of a popi store. $7.95 w/mushrooms. If your friends want greasy spoon breakfast and you have to have a cheesesteak, Gotta Stop at the Train Stop!!

Happened to be in this neighborhood and remembered I had eaten here once about 25 years ago, so I stopped in for a quick breakfast and was surprised at how good it was. The inside is a bit dated, but even though all the tables were full, the noise level was very low — easy to enjoy a conversation. The staff was very friendly and everyone was working hard to ensure the customers were taken care of. The western omelette I had was cooked perfectly — probably one of the best omelettes I’ve ever had, and the menu prices were very reasonable. I’ll definitely be returning to The Train Stop.
