Saw The Kitchen, and Tuesday was Oxtails..I was all in
Got two plates.. just for me and my dog, made 3 meals from it, and I’m a big eater
Mustard greens are incredible, bit of spice, Loved them.
Smothered cabbage amazing
Black eyed peas and red beans really good too
Rice is really really tasty, one had the oxtail gravy on it, other was basically their plane, I’d say, dirty rice, so yummy
The oxtail is incredible, falls off the bone
The girl helping me recommended the fried pork chop over the smothered pork chop.. it’s the best I’ve ever had I think, just amazing

The food is outstanding with large portion size and the service is great. You get more food than you can eat at one time. I love this place very comfortable and laid back. One of the best soul food with a Cajun spin restaurants.

I didn’t want to come on here and maybe ruin everybodys spot because I heard of the place and it became mine went 3 days and was ready to go try something else and that wasn’t my day got it got the cornbread cake and my drink ordered my food and waited to get it got a meatball stew is what they was serving I got my food I took a bite wentt to take a piece of my meatball to eat and pew a roach cooked and fried in the gravy and I’m getting asked what’s wrong got to the owner shes like ugh ok do you want to try something else like they didn’t just have a cooked roach in the food I’m good sitting there to see what else she comes back out and says and say y’all fine with a bit of disappoint like we sold her the food will not go there again

Delicious home style southern food and a friendly atmosphere. We went there on Wednesday and ordered fried chicken. It was so good. The chicken was juicy and tender, with extra crispy batter. The sides were very nice too. Definitely try out corn bread dressing. It’s one of our favorites.

Awesome place. Good southern cooking! My family came from Texas, accomedated 20. Cut the roast with a plastic fork good! Mr White is the best! If in town make sure to try out the plastic fork test!
