We stop by for lunch/dinner early because they closed at 4:30pm. I order beef on my dish, she gave me tasteless chicken, I told her, I order beef not chicken, she insisted that it is beef, I know the difference between beef and chicken. I couldn’t eat the tasteless dish she just ignored me. My husband ordered margaritas, the worst taste we ever had in town, it taste really sour and bitter it taste like from yesterday margaritas that was soaked with lemon peel overnight because it was really bitter and sour and can’t taste another sip. The worst experience we had in town. I will never recommend to anyone. See pictures if you think it’s a beef, you will see the strand of chicken meet pieces. Yucky microwave dish.

I gave it only 4 stars, as the margaritas were weak.
But the food was great, my tamales, were flavorful, meat was tender, and the masa was thin.
And they were huge! By far the best I ever tasted.

Literally across the road from the border entrance. Overall a decent experience. Service was friendly and efficient. The salsa they initially served was a watered down tomato based sauce, but if you ask for hot salsa, they’ll bring the best, freshest salsa you’ve ever had. I had the enchilada dinner. It had four enchiladas which were way too many, good refried beans, fresh guacamole, but no rice. Would have liked to have just two enchiladas with the beans, guacamole and rice. Also, I wish I asked if they had ground beef instead of the shredded beef. I don’t know why but for some reason the musicians at these restaurants feel the need to sing American beach music. I would prefer traditional Mexican music when visiting Mexico for an authentic experience. Our lunch for two was $45.50. That included 2 Margaritas and a Sparkling Water. Would go back just for the awesome Hot Salsa.

Very good food! and because the restaurant is near the border. It costs double compared to restaurants two or three blocks away from the border, but the quality of the food is quite good. There are only about three air conditioned restaurants in the area. I would say not counting for the price that this one has the best food. I tried the chicken enchiladas

Been going to Los Algodones for over 20 years. In my opinion this is the best restaurant in town, the best food is here. The other place most people go to, El Pariaso, is outdoors and has great atmosphere and vibe, but the food there is not that good. For the best Los Algodones experience, I would go to El Pariaso for a couple drinks and then come here for lunch or dinner.

I would give a 5 star but I have to admit that not having the ability to pay with a credit card was a huge ouch for us. The food was good. The service well, we waited and waited for drinks and it was slow. Although it was not that busy. Atmosphere was ok. I think I am use to come when they have someone doing music.

Pretty good food, but not big portions. Chimichangas are NOT what Americans consider a Chimichanga; they are served as three crispy taquitos or flautas. Drinks are good and cheaper than the other Tourist Restaurant… Paraiso.

Stopped here with family on our way back to the states. We all thought the food here was really good, just the portions were a bit on the smaller side. The staff were excellent, and our waiter was pretty funny. He had a few good one liners. We did have a margarita or two here. The mother in law said the restaurant a block south used to have the best margaritas, but they changed them and now this place is her go too. It’s right next to the border crossing and made for a convenient stop on the way home. Just a note this place is CASH ONLY.
