This restaurant is in my home town its a fairly new establishment..
Reason for my review is that this place smells like body odor the hygiene of this place is the worst I’ve ever witnessed this needs addressed someone needs to fix this situation this could lead to health problems apparently the management live like this its embarrassing to the community clean this place inside out and from top down of ya know what I mean PS .the SMELL SAYS IT ALL

I came to leave a positive review because I had a great experience here this morning. There is a specific employee that was working here today who was very friendly and worked fast. He made sure everybody at the counter had their order taken and made sure everyone had what they needed. He made sure that food was prepared and handed out. He was a very good addition to the crew this morning. I was very happy.

Maybe we visited this Dairy Queen in Salyersville on a bad day.. Service was so slow that the manager gave me 5 free blizzard coupons. After waiting Forever on our To Go order we got back on the road to find that our food was literally pathetic. My BBQ chicken melt wrap was barely rolled with contents falling out… milkshake was melted.. but the worst was my son’s grilled chicken sandwich.. picture below.. literally two cut pieces of chicken with bacon. I never complained the whole Twenty Minutes I was there waiting on our order for the three of us. Was very polite and understanding. Had I not been in a hurry I would’ve turned around and went back to Return the pitiful sandwich. Sorry for such a bad review.. but I would hate for this to happen to someone else. As for the employees. Cashier was nice. He was new.. teenager.. but learning. Joked with customers and was always smiling and polite. I really hope this Dairy Queen will improve. It’s a popular stop at the beginning of the Mountain Parkway.

Our small town loves having a DQ. Most of there employees are super nice. Only thing I personally don’t like anymore, is for the amount we pay for the food we do not get a huge portion like we use too before new owners came in. I recently bought a chicken strip basket, and I am not kidding there were only 10 small french fries inside the box, when before we legitally had a huge hand full(it took up majority of the one side of the box).
I just wish that the prices would come down a bit.

In general I like Dairy Queens food(from other locations)Though the food here In Salyersville could be worse It Is also not very good. It Is sloppy and just not made well most the time. I have yet to get any that was GOOD. Chicken tends to be either burnt where It Is hard to chew or undercooked so I especially do not recommend getting chicken from them. Same with fries they are sometimes burnt which should NOT be served that way. Service is hit or miss. It Is typically VERY loud in there which is distracting and agitating. Even If the food was good you can’t enjoy It with so much noise and activity. I have been in and some of them were very quick,polite and attentive and I have been in when they were being lazy and unnecessarily making people wait so they could chat and mess around (most of the staff seems to be high school kids I think that is the cause of many of the issues). Kids just do not take things seriously and consider good customer service bringing people back and unfortunately due to that their quality of food and service suffers.

Very good food with a friendly, knowledgeable and professional staff. Combine this with a warm, family filled kinda atmosphere you will love. With that being said, you may very well need to get a mortgage on ur home just to pay for it.
