I thoroughly enjoyed my meal. It’s a small place without a lot of signs reflecting its presence so they should set up boards or signs closer to the street for more patrons. I thought it was reasonably priced and great quality food. The meal presentation had me thinking it wasn’t going to be very good, but it was actually great. I had the chicken enchiladas classica with red sauce, rice and beans. It had tremendous flavor. That, coupled with the complimentary chips and salsa left me satisfied, full and very happy with the price and service. I definitely recommend it, especially for lunch.

Love this place. We go twice a month. Their enfrijoladas are so good. The black bean sauce reminds me of home and it’s cheesy and delicious. The carnitas are very filling and good. We also got the rollitos as an appetizer and they’re very good and filled with chicken goodness. Would absolutely recommend this place. Oh and the blackberry margarita is so sweet and strong and delicious. The guava and passion fruit margaritas are also great but the blackberry one is the sweetest and I love sweet drinks.

We stopped here on a whim because it was a gorgeous day and they have a few outside tables. I had the esquite and the rollitos. My husband had the shrimp crema plate. Everything was super tasty! The chips were warm, salsa just a lil spicy. The esquite was still warm, so fresh tasting, perfectly tangy with a smidge of spice. My husband really enjoyed his shrimp (I’ll have to take his word as he ate too fast to share!) It wasn’t busy, which was disappointing. If you’re downtown Salem, give them a try!!

I had just eaten an uneventful dinner when I stumbled upon this place and decided to give it a shot.. I wasn’t that hungry so I mainly just wanted to look at the menu and have a margarita. After seeing the margarita and taking my first sip I instantly thought wow!!! Under promise and over deliver!! So I ordered five tacos and I honestly could not believe the quality of what I received for the price paid. I mean seriously top-notch meat with a single tortilla so you can actually taste the flavor of your protein and the homemade sauce. Yes the sauces were outstanding. I seldom order dessert, but the young man told me it was his grandmother’s recipe. I am so glad he is a Salesman because I actually did go ahead and order it. Hands down best Flan I’ve ever eaten and in the top 10 best all around desserts ever in my life. This is a must go to restaurant. Simple, great quality and unbelievable value!!!

The food and ambiance were wonderful, and I really enjoyed my visit. The only thing that gave me pause was some of the pricing on a few items. For example, the esquites, while tasty, felt a bit expensive at $11 given the portion size. It was closer to a small side dish, so the cost felt a little high compared to the entrées. Some of the portions were smaller in comparison to other Mexican restaurants I have been as well. Otherwise, it was a great experience.

Needed a place for a family meal and stumbled upon Los Toreros. Had skinny margaritas that were really good (from scratch), platos de carnitas, enchiladas and cameronas diabla. Everything was lovely! We will be back.

I really wanted to like this place. we had a larger group and everyones order was wrong. the food did not come out at the same time so most of our party had finished eating when the corrected orders came out. the tickets were not correct and the food was just okay. But boy o boy, those drinks are expensive and not worth the cost!! I feel like taco bell may have been a better choice than this place.
