First time stopping for breakfast. The food is very good with large portions. Prices are really good. Service was good waitress was nice knowledgeable and friendly. Even bought carrot cake, lemon meringue pie and peanut butter cookie to go! We will be back!!

If you find yourself at this little local diner and bakery, expect big portions and hopefully a sweet tooth. The breakfast is good. The pancake stack and French Toast are huge! I would highly recommend trying their cinnamon roll dollar pancake.

When you walk in the door your looking at pies, bread, Donuts apple fritters big ones too $4 each and they have a peach fritter something new to me everything looks good there and you’ll see some stuff for sale that you can buy they have them on the Shelf there by your table nice stuff bathroom is clean really nice waitress we had she was really nice except they don’t come by at a table to find out if you need any more drinks or coffee I noticed where we sat by the window our floor was really nasty it was dirty it’s like they’ve never clean the floors and no you do not need a mask I will be going back they’re only open until 6 a.m. to 2 p.m. but I’m Fridays they’re open until 7 p.m.

Staff were super friendly, welcoming and patient with my 2 boys. Food was amazing easily the best breakfast I’ve had in a long time. Whenever I visit family out here from Massachusetts I’m gonna have to make time to stop here.

Love this place! Been to Mel’s a few times now, I’ve never been disappointed. Both breakfast and lunch are very good, the ingredients are fresh, portions are plenty and the staff is friendly. I could tell that it’s the place where the locals go to eat, beats a chain everytime.
I haven’t told you about best part yet, Mel’s is also an authentic country bakery, so, bring home desert. Instead of listing what I love, It’s just easier to say, I have not found anything I do not like. I’ve included a picture of what I brought home today.

So we visited Mel’s pre-pandemic and we where less then impressed. We hadn’t been back, until recently. I’m sorry I stayed away! Omelet perfect, cinnamon roll pancakes melt in your mouth! We will NEVER stay away again!
