If you ever saw Christmas Story it’s like that restaurant..old school Chinese food minus the duck chop . Nothing special on decor, nostalgic of the 80s but comfy and the lady knows us when we come in. She is sweet and the foods is good old school Chinese. My favorites are the pork chow mein, fried rice —-delicious and cashew chicken. They have been here 40yrs and serving me for 16yrs. I would love to keep them open. Stop by sometime and try it out

The inside is private, beautifully decorated and quiet. The atmosphere is calm friendly and welcoming. I ordered the duck and egg rolls to go because the kiddos were waiting at home. The service was impeccable. The woman who took our order was kind, personable and friendly. The food was ready to go timely and was delicious, authentic and we can’t wait to go back for a date night. Highly recommend!

Wanted to find good Chinese food without any “fusion” with other Asian cuisine. We found it. They haf Egg Fo Young and it was great. Will definately go again. Not modern or trendy just good Chinese food.

We have always loved this place. Great food unfortunately they need more staff (at least when we went) they are looking. I love getting our check written in another language, then you know its authentic.

Great food at a great price. I love everything I have tried here. The mushrooms and bamboo on the premiers chicken are great. The orange chicken os crunchy with a slight spice, and the kung pao three delights is wonderful with chicken, shrimp, beef, and cashews. I also love the fried rice here as well as their sizzling rice soup. Remember to ask for chilli for some added kick. I heavily recomend this to everyone looking for a delicious chinese restraunt, especially here in SW Bakersfield. They will make any dish you want spicy as well if you ask.

Old style chinese food. The food was very good. Nice, quiet atmosphere with booths and tables. They bring you a paper to go menu to your table, but the menu choices are huge. We had the pu pu platter for two, bbq pork chow mein with crispy noodles and sweet & sour chicken with steamed rice. Everything was delicious. They charge $4.50 for a soda, which I thought was a little high, and the paper menus are my only complaints. The food prices were great and we will be going back. I would like to try their egg foo young next.

Ordered egg flower soup it was so bland and it had corn in it tasted like corn water. It was very thin and watery it took the lady forever to take me order and there wasn’t a single customer in the restaurant

We have been sitting here for an and only got 2 of our 4 dishes. We aren’t even hungry any more. The bbq pork ribs were so dry and the hot and sour soup was so salty. I definitely do not recommend coming here. We told the staff not to make our other dishes as it was taking so long. The restaurant wasn’t even busy.

The setting reminds you of a cheap 1980s sitcom sound station, plain and cheap, the service when I last went was subpar (they like big groups but seem to begrudgingly serve groups of two or *gasp* single diners. In that case the scary lady server (not the cool, actually knows about customer service lady but the old curmudgeonly one) barks at you “you want to go order?!”
