Cheap is the only good thing here. Don’t expect any service. Find your own table and find your own way to get their attention to order.

I got the broken rice for $10 and it’s pretty good. The pork chop was cooked well, not tough. Good sauce and egg. It’s a simple dish done pretty well for a very affordable price.
On the weekend, it gets really packed and cramped, but otherwise food is good.

If you are looking for good quality and great tasting traditional Vietnamese food at a great price, don’t need fancy aesthetics and are happy to accept communication challenges are part of the experience, then Window Restaurant is a great option. It’s where many locals go. Some staff only speak Vietnamese and the place can get crowded (upstairs had plenty of space if you have a large group).

Every time I go there, I order this dish without beef. Today, the lady suddenly said they don’t sell it anymore. I explained that I’ve ordered it before and even showed her a photo, but she still insisted that it was no longer available.
I was honestly very confused and upset, as I eat this dish every two weeks. After this experience, I won’t be going back. I don’t understand why they would treat a loyal customer this way. If the price has increased, they could have simply told me. Instead, the rude attitude and behaviour were very disappointing, especially considering that I’ve recommended this place to many of my friends.

It is so dirty. Understand that they have limited staff but tables were not being cleaned properly and the toilet was left in a state. Also NO SOAP in the bathroom.
We ordered a vegetarian dish and it had meat in it… we told one of the ladies (we speak Vietnamese so there was no language barrier between us) who then did not even acknowledge the issue or offer any solution.
We also ordered three soup bowls and they did not give us the herbs and lemon that usually accompany the dishes. We asked for the herb dish but they did not bring it the whole time we were there.
It is unfortunate because the food was decent, but you can get better in Springvale elsewhere.

This is not a fancy restaurant, just basic that you eat and go. Not a very clean restaurant and the staffs don’t clean the table, probably short handed.
We ordered the Rice with 2 grilled pork chop $10, beef noodles soup $10, spicy beef vermicelli soup $10. The food are good, reasonable portion and cheap. For $10, can’t complain.
The $3 ice coffee is strong and very good, worth trying!
Staffs speak limited English. No weekend surcharge.

Cheapest pho in Springvale $10 and the portion was HUGE!! Super crowded, cleanliness is not the best but worth a visit if you are after good pho and best price!! Been there a few times and the texture of the pho was fresh and springy. The pho took a while to cook even though there weren’t many customers. The owner is really putting the heart to cook even though they lowered the price to $10. The service from the English speaking girl is really polite and helpful. The boss speaks Cantonese which is a plus point!

I would say the only thing good about this place is cheap but other than that DON’T COME HERE!!!!!!!!!! It is $10 only for a bowl of pho. Do not make the drive to come here!!!! There is only one beef pho option to choose from. The place is very dirty, they do not clean the tables. The food took a long time to come, they didn’t offer us tea or water, we had to ask several times before they asked us to get it ourselves. Bad food, service, and atmosphere.

The food is great, the meat is cooked and the noodles are tasty! Well expect the uncooked meat… anyways, the problem is the inside of the restaurant is so small and it’s really difficult to walk through, because of the objects on the way. The meat with the hair is the worst part! My mother order this dish, when the dish arrived she noticed the hair! A HAIR! Like what kinda chefs do you guys have? . So my mother decided to choice an another dish, like mines and the rest of our group. But all though is good, but next time just make sure that the food is safe and perfect so serve to people. Just a reminder when someone else noticed!

I went for a pho tasting! Special beef pho costs $10 and comes in one size only. The soup is clear and flavorful, the noodles are excellent, and the chili oil is amazing. The only issue is that the meats are chewy. If they can improve the meat quality, it would be a perfect 10 out of 10.
