Tony and his wife (Hani) are awesome people. They own the restaurant and the food is fabulous. Brian makes the best chocolate martini. JC is another great bartender! Please you need to come in!!!!

My boyfriend and I stumbled across The Grove Tavern to grab a late lunch. We loved the decor, bringing a clean cozy cool vintage vibe. Callie was very friendly and attentive, our drinks were tasty & well done; the cocktails are on trend being $10+ but that’s pretty average for a nice dining experience. The music was actually spot on too, all around great atmosphere. I joked that we should have our reception there.
The food was *chef kiss* delicious without being overpriced. We ordered the focaccia & ricotta app which was light and refreshing, ribeye which was perfectly cooked and paired with a bed of delicious mashed potatoes, and asparagus. My boyfriend doesn’t even care for asparagus and he ate all of them with a smile on his face. I ordered the salmon which laid on a bed of rice, smothered in sauce, with roasted tomatoes and cooked spinach that paired perfectly. Roasted tomatoes are always questionable to me, but these perfectly complimented the rest of the dish.
Needless to say, this will our new go-to spot whenever we head over to Dekalb. Worth it for a nice date night or hang out with friends for a few cocktails!

I give it five stars! I ordered the steak salad, and it was amazing. The service was on point. Even though she was very busy and working alone, she did an incredible job. Overall, I had a great experience!

My husband and 2 young kids came here to try something new. Very happy with our decision.
My husband had the hot honey chicken sandwich (minus the slaw) and thought it had good flavor but could be hotter for his liking. Was very juicy too!
I had the Chicago Beef Grilled Cheese and was happy with it, it was very filling. We both had the seasoned fries and thought they were very good as well (I wanted to try the sweet potatoes tots but they were out.
My kids had bone in BBQ wings (that my daughter devoured) with a side of fruit, and then my son had the Mac n cheese. Both loved them as well.
We also had the cheese curds and pretzel bites (would highly rec the pretzel bites! They are so soft and the cheese was amazing!)
My photos are after we already had been eating as I forgot. Would come here again for sure.

Absolutely delicious! I had the Grove burger (added bacon and went with the chips) and my husband did The Duke (asked for added lettuce and tomato, went with the sweet potato tots) and it was absolutely amazing! The burgers were out of this world, and the sides were both delicious! If you enjoy a partake of alcohol, I loved the ‘I Love Lucy’! It was absolutely a delight, I ended up having two, lol.

Seriously, check ’em out! <3

While we really wanted to like the Grove, we left wanting more. The menu does have some good-looking options, but our entrees were average. We ordered the calamari as an appetizer, the taste was good, but the portion size was on the smaller side. The cosmopolitan was sour and couldn’t be finished. We also ordered the chicken colorado and skirt steak frites. The chicken lacked flavor, and the skirt steak was very chewy and also lacking flavor. I would say maybe our biggest disappointment was that the staff didn’t inquire to see if we were happy with our drinks/entrees.

Went to check this place out after golf. We tried the burger, grilled cheese and beef , and pork shoulder sandwiches. For sides: fries, Mac n cheese, sweet potato tots. All were amazing. 3 entrees and 4 drinks ran us $99, so pricing but worth it. Excellent selection on craft beers and specialty drinks. I like the way the bar is laid out. Staff is excellent. If you went to Keg and Kernel m, you will text recognize some faces. This place is an excellent addition to the downtown improvements.

Had a nice dinner at The Grove before a show at The Egyptian. Staff were very friendly and attentive. I enjoyed the Sloppy Joe and sweet potato tots. I also tried a whiskey cocktail. Everything was very good. They had a good crowd for a Saturday, and they kept up with drinks and food for everyone. Service was great.

Our party of 3 arrived shortly after 5:00pm on a Friday before Christmas and the place was a little over half capacity. We were greeted and seated immediately. The place is very open, clean and comfortable with decent lighting! (many places I find far to dark to be comfortable. Not the case here) I will say that the music was up too loud and it wasn’t particularly recognizable music, mostly just bumping and booming sounds but we were still able to speak comfortably with our group. Our server Nicole was great! Very attentive and answered our questions about menu items when asked. When we finished she was quick to bring us the bill when asked and a box. None of that waiting around trying to flag someone down. We chatted about how long The Grove had been open and where excited to hear from her how well they’ve been doing because we can’t wait to come back!

We order the poutine for our appetizer and it came out quickly, hot and delicious! 10/10 would recommend! It was a large portion and could have easily been a meal for someone. We shared between 3 and had leftovers! For our entrées we ordered the Chicken Colorado with Fries, Patty Melt with Onion Rings for an up-charge and the Caesar Salad. Our food came out just as great as the appetizer and we all throughly enjoyed. As we normally do we shared all the food so we could try it all and they were ALL excellent!

If you haven’t tried out The Grove yet I suggest you try it out! The food, pricing and atmosphere are fantastic! Can’t wait to go back and try some other menu items.

This place is amazing. From the feeling of simply entering the building to the exquisite and delectable appetizers, entrees, and drinks you are sure to love this excellent establishment. The hot chicken sandwich is absolutely delectable, and personally I would say it is one of the best friend chicken sandwiches out there. Don’t be scared to order it because of the spice; the honey infused chile is noticeable, but far from overpowering. Don’t sleep on their cheese curds either. Along with the curds comes a delicious and tangy sauce that I would recommend ordering (their spicy ranch.) They have a plethora of drinks that everyone in the family can and will enjoy.
