Reviews
The atmosphere is cozy and inviting, giving you that genuine Japanese izakaya vibe where you can relax, eat well, and enjoy good company. Service was friendly and attentive.
Love every single details that was sprinkled around from the food, to the decorations. The menu is well curated, and every dish we tried was flavorful, well balanced, and beautifully presented. Definitely a place worth visiting.
Every dish we tried was delicious. They have a great variety of sake, and the staff are super friendly and knowledgeable,
they gave us excellent food and sake recommendations^.^
I got their omurice ($15.50) along with skewers of grilled oyster mushrooms ($3.50), tongue ($4.95), chicken hearts ($3.50), chicken livers ($3.25), and negima with green onions. The meat were seasoned nicely and not overcooked. Their omurice is good, the ketchup based fried rice had a good amount of vegetables. They had little jars of pickled mustard greens, matcha sea salt, and wasabi salt.
No reservations or online ordering. The staff is nice and the place is clean.
. The waiting list > utilize the digital waitlist on it’s website for a grace period of 10 min. This can reduce the staff needs to constantly coming out to manage the guests waiting and marking so they can focus on the onsite services as it is part of Japanese serving culture.
. Menu ordering > as the front of the house staff needs to multitask on many items, the ordering could take some time to be attended. By scanning QR code on the table to place order, this can reduce the wait time and increase the conversation in between the staff and the customer as part of “Izakaya culture”.
. Outdoor sitting > if the grill capacity is allowed, increasing outdoor seating might be a great idea especially in summer time!
Digitizing some small tasks can make huge differences. Hope these most honest opinions can help this restaurant do better and grow stronger.
