Nothing but positive for this review. We went in for dinner and was greeted by the friendliest waitress. Went over the specials, very prompt and personable. Granddaughter ordered mini corn dogs and cottage cheese! Her favorite. Hubbub ordered the Hired hand and a extra side of mashed, and I went with the special a Taco Salad. The food came out very quickly, hot, and plenty of it! So good. Atmosphere is laid back and inviting!!! Will definitely be back! Easy 5 stars! Something to say about Small towns!!!

Have to laugh! I just googled dog friendly restaurants in Henry County,IL and the Combine came up. They are NOT DOG FRIENDLY AT ALL. Even service dogs! They literally kicked me out when I asked if I could bring my service dog into the restaurant/bar for training hours. That was six years ago and they still won’t let me come back! I don’t even have the dog anymore. It passed away. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE!
Just read the owners comments on my review. Just to “clarify” I did NOT even have the dog with me when I asked if I could bring her in for training hours. She was in fact an in training bonafide service dog. Illinois law covers dogs in training under the ADA. And one of your servers came into another establishment and asked what my disability was. Totally illegal and uncalled for! You can only ask if the person has a disability not ask what it is. You also can ask what task the dog is trained to perform. AGAIN, STAY AWAY FROM THE COMBINE BAR AND GRILL!

Great food and friendly service. The one drawback was that it took us a considerably long time to get our food (an hour) but a ton of people had just been seated when we walked in – it clearly wasn’t the server or kitchen’s fault.
