Wow! Everything was good. I should have taken pics before we dove in.
Viva Las Vegas roll was delicious.
The jalapeno poppers were premise prepared and like nothing we’d ever tasted before. The pepper was raw, warm cream cheese mix. Spicy edemame.

Certainly not fancy or pretentious, but the fish is great and the staff is super friendly and accommodating. We rolled up about 30 minutes before closing and almost didn’t go in because of the exterior appearance. Glad we let their 4.9 rating overcome our hesitation! We will absolutely come back when we are in the area. Try the salmon skin crisps, they are fun and tasty add on to your order. Their fresh wasabi is fantastic too!

Okay so I’ve been wanting to get sushi for awhile ! Took myself a lunch break and went to xami! Lunch specials are a great deal , Miguel was amazing , great customer service , not to mention it’s such a cute place super clean I would highly recommend! To top it all off the FOOOOD IS DELICIOUS!!!

Very great food. Miguel and staff are very friendly. Very delicious food and a great sushi spot. Love the fried jalapeño volcano roll and the fried rice appetizer. We had like 5 other rolls they were all delicious.

looks a little sketchy on the outside but those are always the best places. my fiance and I sat at the bar and if you know anything about sushi spots that’s always how you get the best experience! Miguel, the owner and chef, is the sweetest guy and makes the absolute best food. Please go show them some love.

The staff is great, and Miguel—the owner, I believe—is extremely knowledgeable about the craft. If you’ve ever read my other reviews, you know I say what’s on my mind and I’m not politically correct about it.
For context, I’ve lived in Asia for over three years, including six months in Osaka, Japan. I grew up traveling and tasting food from all over the world. With that background, I can honestly say this place surprised me.
The fish smelled fresh, as if it came straight from the ocean yesterday. The sashimi melts in your mouth, the rice is prepared beautifully, and the overall quality is something you rarely find here.
If you truly appreciate good sushi, you’ll love this place. But fair warning: if your idea of “high-end sushi” is something from Fry’s or you think Lin’s Buffet is top-tier, this place probably isn’t for you.

When you are traveling for work and traveling and you see 4.9 rating for a sushi bar in a shack… It’s either fantastic or only family members only go there… The atmosphere was a shack, and there was no effort in keeping it spotless. The staff and guest were friendly, and the food was decent for sashimi, not super fresh and firm.

I was in Phoenix 3 nights. I went here the first night and was blown away. In all sincerity I would have come back every night but forced myself to try something different the second night. The 3rd night was also great. Miguel and his staff are great. The food was fresh and awesome. The calamari is the best I have ever had. Sushi was great as well and this is the first time I have a combo which every piece was unique. Well done and I will definitely be back.
