Hands down, this is some of the best breakfast tacos I’ve ever had. I eat gluten-free, and I’ve completely fallen in love with their corn tortillas. On top of that, their green hot sauce is delicious—the kind of salsa that makes you want to put it on everything. They also offer a great deal (possibly seasonal): three of the same breakfast tacos for just $4.79.
A heads-up on ordering: if you want the three-for-$4.79 special, your tacos must come from the breakfast taco menu. That works perfectly for me since I usually stick to breakfast tacos, but my spouse sometimes orders fajita tacos in the morning—which don’t qualify for the deal.
During one visit, I ordered the chorizo breakfast tacos on corn tortillas and asked to add cheese. What I expected was the breakfast version (with egg), but instead the server brought me plain chorizo and cheese tacos—more like a lunch item. Because of that mix-up, I was charged full price instead of the breakfast special. The flavor was fine, but without the egg, the chorizo was just too rich and overwhelming. I pointed directly at the breakfast menu when ordering, so I chalk this up to a communication slip.
Takeaway: double-check that you’re ordering from the breakfast taco menu if you want the special. Spell it out clearly to avoid confusion, especially if you’re dining with someone who orders non-breakfast items.
Despite that little hiccup, this is still my favorite taco spot for breakfast. Between the gluten-free corn tortillas, the great value, and that incredible green hot sauce, I’ll definitely keep coming back.

Finally tried this place out. I had the juevos rancheros breakfast and it was delicious!! It tasted like my own mama cooked it. My hubby had the chicken fajita enchiladas and he said they were great! Our server was very attentive. The overall location has good seating, but parking seems limited. Definitely going back.

I’m really disappointed. The restaurant was at was very unsanitary and had a strong smell of urine and feces. There were flies everywhere, and no one offered to help or acknowledge us. Overall it felt extremely unclean and uncomfortable. I would not recommend this place, especially to tourists.

Very very good Mexican!! Lunch specials are very fairly priced, the red salsa is hotter / more authentic than some of the other Mexican establishments on W San Antonio St next door, I really like the Mexican Steak (first picture) and the Carne de Puerco (second picture), I plan on trying more lunch specials here!

I Had the #25 Carne Asada plate it was the lunch special. Everything was well cooked. I ordered horchata and it was flavorful and creamy. The chips and salsa was good.
The staff is friendly but they did seem under staffed so when I went in during the lunch rush I could notice how they were slightly behind.
The place was clean and even though the kitchen is close to the dining area it was cool for a warm day in June.
I would definitely recommend this place. They are affordable and if I am ever back in New Braunfels I will come back to eat there.

The food and service is amazing here! If you like tripas this is the place for you! They are made to your liking! Especially if you like them very crispy they can do that for sure! Unbelievable. My order took 25 minutes. The order was wrong. I refused the food and asked for a refund… that’s when the waiter started cussing me out!
I told him, there is no need for foul language. He said, I’m 23 years old, I’m an adult, I say the F-word if I want. He berated me for complaining.
I tried a new place and got burned. I should have stayed with my favorites on the same street… Butcher Boy Tacos & El Norteño Taqueria.
I will buy you breakfast if you call them and ask, Does the waiter who cusses out the customers still work there?

Decided to try their pozole and I don’t recommend! They gave me lettuce instead of cabbage and the meat tasted horrible! Their salsa is also very watery.
