Definitely a must stop. Breakfast burrito is one of my top 3 I’ve ever had. Service is great and their hot sauces are incredible.

Tacos De Birria Estilo Guadalajara – Authentic Tacos in a Cozy Spot

Located in a small plaza in Aliso Viejo, Orange County, Tacos De Birria Estilo Guadalajara is a popular local taco shop known for its authentic flavors and warm, inviting atmosphere. Though the storefront is modest and seating is limited, the restaurant creates a charming vibe with soft ceiling lights and roses placed on every table.

As for the food, the staff highly recommended their signature dish: 3 Tacos de Birria. These tacos feature slow-cooked, tender beef brisket, paired with a rich, flavorful beef broth for dipping. Each bite becomes even more satisfying when dipped, as the flavors intensify beautifully.

The Tacos de Carne Asada were more traditional, featuring chopped steak with a solid, classic taste. Meanwhile, the Taco de Blackened Shrimp stood out with four shrimp per taco, coated in a bold, black pepper-heavy sauce—a must-try if you like a strong, savory flavor.

They offer a selection of beer and chilled drinks conveniently displayed in an ice cooler. The staff are friendly and welcoming, even handing me the TV remote so I could switch to the sports match I wanted to watch.

There’s only one table with two chairs available outside, making it a potential option for those visiting with dogs. Plenty of parking is available right out front, adding to the ease of visiting.

Overall, it’s a wonderful spot for anyone craving authentic birria tacos and a laid-back dining experience.

Amazing experience! The service was warm, fast, and genuinely welcoming. The food was incredibly authentic—fresh, flavorful, and clearly made with care. Their aguas frescas were a standout, perfectly refreshing and not overly sweet. This place truly captures real Mexican flavors. Highly recommend!

This is a great little spot! Food is made fresh and is really good. The in house made hot sauces are awesome. Do yourself a favor and get the Birria with the consome you will be coming back for more. The staff here is super friendly and inviting! It’s a can’t miss spot for great food here in Aliso!!

Immediately upon walking into this cozy little spot, you’re taken to an authentic feel Straight from the streets of Mexico. The service was awesome. They made our food super fast! You pay at the counter and they bring the food straight to you and you don’t have to bus your own plates. We got the special Queso de Birria, Which are three tacos, cooked to perfection with savory meat and cheese in between. We repaired that with the beard burrito, which was a healthy portion and size and it hit the spot.

Be careful if there isn’t enough business they will close early. Saturday hours say closing at 9pm. I arrived at 8:10. They first tried to say that 8pm is their closing hours. Then I said but their Google hours say 9pm. Then they said oh yeah we haven’t updated the times on Google. Then they said oh we close early sometimes if there isn’t an enough business. Disappointed because I really wanted to try their food.

Our entire group of 4 all had burritos and none of us found hardly any meat in our meat burritos. The tortillas were good, but bite after bite was rice, some refried beans and raw onions. I ordered a chicken burrito but literally found about 4 small pieces in it. My son’s surf and turf burrito has a few flaky bits of fish, but no shrimp or steak as advertised. These weren’t cheap either! Never returning as we felt ripped off.
