Food: I ordered Gai Yang Somtum. This was the grilled chicken with sticky rice and somtum salad, which included green papaya, string beans, tomato, dried shrimp, and peanuts, all tossed in a bright lime-chili dressing. The flavors were fresh and nicely balanced. I was surprised by the unique presentation. I also tried the vegetable spring rolls, which were crisp, light, and served with a sweet dipping sauce. Overall, the food tasted fresh and felt healthy!
Service: Service was quick and friendly! I recommend trying this restaurant.
Service was a little confusing with the server, but we worked it out. Place was clean and had nice traditional Thai decor. My Thai Tea could have been a little bigger, but that’s pretty much how it always goes.
If you are in Philly and looking for Thai food, come here!
The only downside was that we felt a bit rushed toward the end of our meal. Our plates were cleared immediately after we finished, and the check was placed on the table without asking. We were there on a Saturday afternoon around 12:30 PM it did get busier, but there were still several tables open, so the quick wrap-up felt unnecessary.
That said, the food itself was fantastic, and I’d still recommend this place for anyone craving flavorful Thai dishes.
Dara had the atmosphere you would describe as cozy. Light music, soft lighting, ambient chatters of life throughout the restaurant.
Their food was immaculate and the staff was very patient with explaining each dish and how to eat it to me. The drink I ordered tasted like an enhanced pina colada.
Overall, would recommend and would definitely come back.
All the dishes were delicious and good sized portions. Ordered, Thai tea, and lemon Thai tea. Their Tom yum soup is one of the best I’ve had so far in Philly! Obviously had to taste calamari, drunken noodles, pad Thai and mango sticky rice.
The calamari literally melted in my mouth . The crab fried rice is officially my new obsession —so fresh & flavorful! I also tried the Hor Mok (young coconut, scallops, jumbo shrimp, squid in a creamy red curry sauce topped with basil, lime leaves & hot peppers ️ ). I was skeptical at first but it blew me away .
The mocktails were not only super delicious but also so creative the perfect pairing with all the flavors.
We wrapped it all up with sticky mango rice —such an interesting and unique flavor to end the night.
This place is definitely a MUST TRY!
Not a place I would go back.
