Drove up for their Weds pork chop special. It was delicious as always. So tender, falling off the bone. Dressing good as well. Huge servings. Take home enough for supper. And we always have to get the yummy blackberry cobbler! Service good as well.
11/20 Have to add that we went today about 1230 for their pork chop special & they were NOT good. Very dry & chewy. Nothing at all like the many times before when they were so tender you didn’t even need a knife to cut them. Idk what the difference was this time, but I was sure glad that the 2 couples we had invited to go with us didn’t go. They had never eaten there & after us talking it up, it would’ve been pretty disappointing.
Not going to change my stars review just yet. We’ll try it again sometime but I hope the manager figures out what was wrong yesterday!

Hubby and I were very excited to eat here even though it’s an hour+ away from home. We are still looking for that down home diner that will be our “go-to” place, since moving to KY 4 years ago. Needless to say, we still haven’t found it. The chili cheese fries were nothing to reorder. It appeared they had American cheese slices melted on top which contributed to them being dry. Disappointed that the potatoes were instant and not sure that it wasn’t some type of packaged or canned gravy. The side salad was shredded lettuce, 1.5 cherry tomatoes and a couple croutons. Hubby said the meatloaf was okay and that’s how I would rate the roast beef. All in all, not sure we will give it a second visit.

Really good home cooked style food. Prices are good, especially considering how much food you get. We found this place randomly after moving to the area, and were pleasantly surprised! We enjoy eating here when we can. We’ve never left feeling hungry, that’s for sure! The country fried steak is our favorite thing to order. The mac & cheese bites are really good, too. The staff are really friendly and helpful. We’ve never had to wait, but the place is usually pretty busy. Just know, they aren’t open on weekends, so you’ll have to get there during the week, if you’re going.

I just came in this morning waiting on them to open i pulled into lot was up to far did not know I needed to go back further two ladies pulled up in a van told me I need to pull back so I do not get hit I told her I have insurance also I will pull back then I went too look at door too see time they open Lady got out of van said I was rude she not me don’t come in I won’t get served now that’s very very rude of her long hair Grey headed lady so their loss not mine that’s so rude so I’ll take my business elsewhere push off a good paying customer way to go felicia

I live nearby and we love this restaurant. It’s homey without being kitschy. The service is always good. Are there wait times? You betcha! Because they’re actually making food! *GASP*
We have never gotten bad service, bad food, or hungry again in an hour after eating here. The portion sizes are enough that my mom can eat two meals per dinner but I get one. She’s a huge fan of the hot dogs, chicken and meatloaf.
So seriously, take a breather, sit down to an actual meal made my real hands, and strike up a conversation. Oh, and get cobbler! You won’t be sorry!

Visited again and it’s still a favorite for locals. There’s both booth and table seating. All the home cooking that you could want with plenty of options at an affordable price.

The food was good. I ordered a special and she brought me a roast beef dinner instead of the open face meatloaf which I didn’t tell her which one I just said the special. Then she argued with me over it and then she kind of just threw the plate down And was very rude. I will not be back as long as she’s waiting tables. She never told us her name, and there was no badge on her, but she was the younger girl with the long hair. If she treats other customers like that, your business will go downhill!
