I was surprised to see a wave of one‑star reviews today. It really looks like targeted review‑bombing, especially since many of the negative ratings appeared at the same time. As someone who has run a restaurant myself, I know how often growing businesses get unfairly targeted, and it’s something management should keep an eye on.

That said, this place is absolutely worth visiting for anyone who enjoys authentic and diverse Indian cuisine. The food is consistently delicious, and the management team is genuinely attentive. A few friends and I visited for a BYOB night this Friday, and the staff took exceptional care of us. Every dish we tried was outstanding.

Karampodi Chicken, Mutton Haleem, and Mutton Dum Biryani were truly on another level—rich, flavorful, and perfectly prepared.
A must‑visit spot for great food and great hospitality.

Before the new management this was a good place. So forget good old reviews. I was a very regular customer. Since new management took over, the food quality as well as the courtesy is very poor. We had a party and it was an embarrassment. If anyone tells you it’s good food it’s either old review or it’s a hit or miss. And on phone the restaurant attendant said they would replace / credit the kachcha baby corn appetizer but next day the owner then said he won’t. This owner guy has a big ego. I honestly at this time I don’t even want credit back but I wanted to share my bad experience with people looking for good food and authentic genuine management. At a minimum I expected an acknowledgement and an apology for the terribly society ands poor quality of food and that they will work on it or make it better. Instead of taking the feedback, he kept saying he has been making food for two years and entire loves it etc etc. I realized he was trying to get away from giving any credit towards more than 100$ worth of inedible spicy and as some first said “BAD” food. More than wasted food and money, the feeling of not able to make my guests happy as a good host was hurtful. Vegetables were raw. Gajar halwa was bad. Guests don’t usually complain but on this occasion they made it clear to me – we thought this is a new management so let us give them feedback. But the experience of giving feedback was shocking. I would never come again because the management should listen to customer – instead this new management showed no respect, gratitude nor apology. It was an empty place on a Saturday afternoon which used to be very busy so clearly more people know this. We spent 170$ – 2 large trays and appetizer. Veg biryani, paneer biryani, corn appetizer, mirch pakoras. They had initially offered credit for but then the owner stepped in and backed out from giving credit on one plate appetizer (15$). Shocking that he was so miserly. Anyways I will order food from Persis Biryani in the future. They are a not farther away but far better food and people. Food matters. It was bad. People and response to feedback matters more. It was worse.

Part of the large group that all unanimously had mentioned issues with food – when we gave feedback and you said “go ahead write a review. I don’t care”. Hence the review. Please learn to be respectful. Each one of the 12 people will give a review so you may say you don’t have a record but that’s just a way of you pretending you don’t know us. We told you and you told our group you didn’t care.

We ordered food for takeout and asked for it to be prepared mild, but it was made spicy. I also asked for rice, but it was not included. In addition, I ordered butter roti, and they replaced it with naan, which also wasn’t buttered. When I called to report this, they didn’t offer a solution, but instead said they were busy, which caused the mistakes. There is a clear issue with customer service and prioritization. I had ordered food in the past, but recently, both the service and food quality have declined. I will not recommend this place.

I’ve ate from this place twice! First time I ordered takeout and the food was very tasty and flavorful! Today I stopped by with my daughter and tasted the chili gobi and samosa chaat! Both of them were very tasty and spice level was also perfect! The management is very kind and helpful and are very receptive to feedback! Please try the food if you are in the area.

Had a great experience here! The food was absolutely delicious and full of flavor. I ordered Baby corn Chinta Chiguru and Panner Bagara Biryani along with Irani chai. Everything tasted fresh and well-prepared. The service was equally impressive — friendly, attentive, and welcoming. Definitely coming back!

Wow! Food was AMAZINGGGGG. Must try their Brinjal Bagara and baby corn Manchuria. It was a sunny afternoon and we went out for a lunch. This was our 1st time. The man in the front desk welcomed and seated us immediately. We asked house favorites he gave us some suggestions. We ordered as he said and guess what its the Best I can say. I absolutely fell in love with brinjal bagara. The rice cooked to perfect and brinjal was soft reminded hyderabadi style. Gravy was delicious. Panner Biryani is okay, they should work on biryani as I felt like turmeric rice and panner felt solid, wasn’t up to the mark. Starters were soo good. We dine in and ordered again for take away. Service was great and friendly. That Man really gave us good hospitality in resturant. We all watched a movie and enjoyed though he concentrated on rest of his tasks. No hype in ambience absolutely looked like Indian Restaurant with minimal decor which reminded us of India. Overall experience is 100/10. Great find and I wish they could open a branch in Newark. Trust me You will get more business here in Newark.

Ordered Pachi Mirchi Pulav, Paya, and Parotta for takeout. The food was really good and the flavors tasted authentic. The Pachi Mirchi Pulav had a nice balance of spice and aroma, and the Paya was rich and flavorful. Overall, it was a satisfying meal and definitely worth trying if you’re looking for authentic taste. Would order again!
