Owner/Chef John has been creating fantastic meals in the valley for a long long time! His “pillow bread app” is a must have. The wood fired oven is used not only for this dish and the pizzas but to finish most of the other dishes off. What a hidden gem. Sometimes hard to get a reservation so plan ahead. The will do private events and also offer wine tasting and community events. I hope they stay around forever!

Absolutely phenomenal. We had a Steelhead trout special that was legitimately one of the best dishes I’ve ever had. Sundried tomato sauce on top and brussels and squash and potatoes underneath swimming in olive oil. I hope that add it to the rotation because more people should experience it.
The pillow bread and burratta and pasta were all wonderful as well and the service was superb even though we showed up way early for our reservation.

Eating at Tapp’s felt like being invited into someone’s home for dinner — sitting at the bar watching John cook was an incredible experience; it’s clear he loves what he does. The food was beyond amazing, the service was personal and friendly, and by the end of the night, it felt like we’d made new friends. Hands down, the best restaurant experience we’ve ever had.

We brought our son (who is a chef) here for dinner and had a fabulous meal. We shared the house salad, delish, then we shared the tomato and chevre pillow bread. It was fantastic. Our son had the Gamboretti, a shrimp and seafood pasta dish, the shrimp were very fresh and tasty, I had the Venetian beef, in a delicious beef and wine sauce with polenta, so good and the leftovers were divine. My hubby had the Canale pasta with sausage, also
Delicious. I could not recommend this place more, our second time here and we will definitely be back. Thank you to John and your welcoming staff!

We thought maybe people were exaggerating when they called this the best Italian food they’d ever had, but really, it was spectacular! We ordered the Anna pizza and the bucatini & bacon pasta special. Each was about $25. The Anna pizza was maybe the best pizza I’ve ever had. We would definitely visit again if we’re ever in the area! Make sure you book a reservation in advance.

Small and cozy restaurant in Twisp with good service, great spot for a romantic date night. Definitely recommend!
I really enjoyed their baby back ribs (super juicy and delicious) and my husband loved his pizza. The vegetable polenta was quite oily but this was also my first time tried polenta so maybe it’s supposed to be like that? They also have a small selection of wine with very resonable price (though my waitress served wine in the same type of cup as our water cup, only until we ordered a bottle that wine was served in actual wine glass. I’m personally have no problems with it, it just seemed a little strange :).

First time in we learned you should get a reservation. They did offer a table at tue next available time. Unfortunately we missed out the first night. So we got a reservation the next night. The pillow bread was awesome. I absolutely loved my spaghetti with prawns special (I am sure it was not called spaghetti). It was fabulous. The sauce should come with a warning label it was so good. Don’t be in a rush, slow down and enjoy your meal.

Menu features homemade Italian pastas and sauces. The star dish is the pillow bread with chevre and sun dried tomatoes. Yum We have never had this dish before and I would drive all the way back to Twisp just to have it again! Next time would try the brick oven pizza. Excellent attentive service!

Tappi was a last minute decision for dinner, and it was the best decision! We did not have a reservation, so they asked if we would be happy with 2 tables at the chef’s station. Also the best decision. We were able to watch John cook and chatted with him about the foods while we had dinner. We had the Roasted Eggplant and Zucchini, and a pizza. Both were fabulous! I would highly recommend this restaurant, but you might want to make a reservation. They are busy, but worth the wait!

Pillow bread with roasted tomatoes was absolutely incredible. The pizza and pasta were both excellent. You can taste the freshness of the ingredients and everything was well balanced. We will be back!
