Came here a year ago with another couple – this time we’re back with the entire family! Just as nice as I remember, fresh food and drinks and excellent service. I had the pancakes – very slight hiccup getting butter for them so they were just a bit cold. I couldn’t finish the very generous (3 cakes) portion, but my son took care of that! My MIL had the gorgeous fruit plate, daughter & boyfriend had the brioche sandwich, hubs had the egg breakfast plate. Everything was quickly devoured! Service was friendly and knowledgeable. The outdoor patio is delightful, even if it rains. A solid choice for breakfast!

Visited after a nearby lunch on a Tuesday afternoon, my fifth day in Old San Juan. Planned to have a single drink. Ended up hanging out for four hours, enjoying one (who am I kidding, many) of the best mojitos I’ve ever had. This was the first place I found in OSJ where I could be cool, escape the humidity, but still be outside. If you order the nachos, doctor them up with a side of rice and beans. You’ll thank me. Jesús was the absolute best bartender. I’ll be back!

We stayed in the hotel and our room was right alongside the restaurant. We had plenty of mojitos during our stay (which were phenomenal). We also enjoyed a dinner one evening. The waitress recommended the fish tacos & they lived up to the hype! Very good and fresh tasting. We also enjoyed some margaritas with our tacos. Cozy atmosphere and friendly staff!

I had an amazing experience at this restaurant! Everything was truly good—from the food to the service—and the atmosphere was warm, inviting, and perfect for a relaxing lunch.

A special shout-out to Indira, who absolutely made our visit exceptional. Her customer service was outstanding, and the piña coladas she made for us were some of the best I’ve ever had—perfectly balanced, refreshing, and made with real care.

If you’re looking for great food, a great vibe, and top-tier service, this is definitely the place to go! It’s a gem – a quiet spot in a busy neighborhood.

We really enjoyed our first meal in Viejo San Juan. Their grouper was really fresh and properly prepared with great sides, the fish tacos with their salsa were incredibly good.

They had a good selection of locally brewed beers, I especially enjoyed the old Harbour KOFRESÍ stout.

There was a big party going on and they still seated people separately in a very lovely courtyard inside a hotel building that wasn’t pretentious at all. There were plants and fountains around that made it a nice getaway from the busy streets nearby. Our server was fluent in English and very helpful in choosing items. Centrally located in Hotel El Convento near Basílica de San Juan Bautista use the side entrance closest to the park .

Ricardo served the best Pina Colada and service all together. I always wanted to try the dining here and finally got chance this evening.
Watermelon with mint salad, Risotto and chicken Mallorca sliders for us. All fresh and perfect bites.
The atmosphere is what you’d expect from a perfect warm breezy evening at the Convento hotel.
Will return.

This place was perfect for our last night. The ambience of the place was so beautiful while also being relaxing. We went @9 before closing and was surprised it wasn’t more busy but it ended up being perfect. Our waiter was very attentive and kind. Our food was absolutely delicious. Highly
Recommend the mini acpurias and wings. Would definitely recommend for date night in PR!

Wow! What a GEM to find while visiting Old San Juan. We had a large group and Victor was amazing in taking care of us. His recommendations lead us to a fantastic meal. He was very attentive, kind and transparent. Made sure we knew there was already 18% gratuity added and was very grateful when we tipped more. We will bring others back there when we come back to the island!

Beautiful restaurant, really nice classy peaceful vibes. Great ambiance. Everything we ordered was delicious, especially my mofongo which is the first one I’ve had that I really liked. Also shoutout to our beautiful server Monica, she was super accommodating and welcoming. Portions were also nice and big and worth the price.

It’s as if the spirits of those nuns were trying to make Heaven on Earth! The food was absolutely incredible, the staff were all very friendly (especially Victor), and the atmosphere was the icing on the cake. We could have spent an entire day just lounging in the courtyard with the soft breeze blowing through like a dream. It’s a MUST add! Reservations are recommended for dinner though – get the lobster risotto, mini Mallorca and fish tacos for sure.
