We booked a table for my birthday dinner.
I got a birthday card from the team, which was a very sweet detail.
The food was delicious. Service quick and great: our server was friendly, the head chef came to assure that my choices are vegan. We also saw him recommending food to other tables.

Okay fellow food enthusiasts, do I have a must place you should check out. It was sensory explosion with the food, view, walk on the beach, seeing the color blue of WVille beach offers up. First of all, the corn bread appetizer is absolutely the best on the planet. Trust me, you have to order it. They serve it up Southern style with honey drizzled on the plate with whipped pumpkin butter on the side. Then Turkey club wrapped with bacon overflowing and the bonanza of sweet potato tots on side. They are known for generous sides. Sounds . The view is awesome. You can sit outside. We sat inside because it was too windy. We went outside to cast a gaze of that beautiful blue that WVille beach offers. The sound of the ocean is memorizing. This was all senses going on overload .

We did a late dinner while staying at the hotel. The hostess and waitress were great. We were seated quickly and the food/beverage service was quick as well. The atmosphere inside is beautiful and the outdoor deck overlooking the ocean is great as well. We ate outside for the breeze and view.
My husband got shrimp and grits. My one son got a burger and the other a grilled cheese with fries. I ordered shrimp tacos. The shrimp and grits were good. The burger and grilled cheese were the same as any kids menu items, anywhere. My tacos were good but needed something crunchy and refreshing. The pickled cabbage was soggy and the sauce was heavy so it overpowered everything else. The Cesar salad I ordered as my side was delicious! Our cocktails were good and the service attentive.

We went here and had starters and drinks.
Firstly, all the starters we had were lovely. The crab cake and bbq flatbread were my absolute fave. The riptide and pina colada drinks were also fantastic.
The staff here are lovely and there was no dull moment here.
Lastly, the view (and even though there was a lot of fog on the day we visited) is amazing.
Highly recommend.

Beautiful view if you dine outside. Service was great, people were friendly. The food just isn’t that great unfortunately. It all felt pretty tasteless, aside from their sweet potato bites and French fries. I’d recommend it if you’re staying at the hotel it is in, or if you just need a quick bite. Otherwise, there are better options out there.

Great views, great atmosphere, great staff. The food was good, however I would like to have seen photos of the meals since what I ordered was more like an appetizer in size versus a full dinner. I left hungry with a large bill.

Friends took me to a belated birthday lunch today. There were five of us. It was too hot to sit outside to enjoy the views. The dining room wasn’t full, maybe 7-8 tables with guests.
Kaitlyn was our waitress.
Two of us ordered the shrimp tacos, along with the sweet potato tots.
Other items ordered: chicken sandwiches with a side salad and tots (one without the bun), and the vegan burger (no bun but on top of a salad).
My shrimp tacos were tasty but messy to eat from the sauce. There was a little heat to the sauce which I liked. I felt the portion was small for the price. The tots were yummy but there’s no need to add a sugar coating. The potatoes are already sweet.
The salads were a nice size portion.
There were mixed comments from my friend about the food from, “it’s okay” to “good”. Three of them had been here in the past and said the food was very good. Today was not the case. All of us were somewhat disappointed.
Service was very slow. There were plenty of servers and the dining room was not full. Our waitress disappeared and we had to ask another one to find her for us. It took a good 20 minutes or so to get the checks. After everything was paid up, she disappeared again. I had to ask another waitress for a bag for leftover tots. She had a look like I was bothering her. Sure, she wasn’t our waitress, but a smile would have been better.
Disappointing but at least we had a good time together.

Solstice Kitchen was incredible! Everything about the Holiday Inn Resort Lumina was incredible, and the food and service here was fantastic.
This was just a single night getaway, so I only had dinner and breakfast. The restaurant space was immaculate. Great lighting, tons of seating options (booths, bar, tables, even an area in the back that was like a separate room for larger parties). The decor was clean and simple and uncluttered.
There’s a great view of the beach, even from inside, and plenty of outdoor seating with umbrellas. I ate inside but several folks were outdoors. Birds or other critters were not a nuisance at all. The menu isn’t too extensive, but there were several meals I would’ve liked to try.
I went with the fried chicken sandwich and sweet potato tots. Portion size was just right and at a good price. The sweet potato tots were crispy and delish, and the dressing on the sandwich was so good. I also tried the pistachio torte for dessert. Just wow.
Breakfast is a buffet style with made to order omelettes. There was also fruit, pastries, breads (and a toaster), eggs, potatoes, grits, biscuits and some meat options (I didn’t try any but I saw bacon). The butter was hard and the biscuits were dry, so that was crumbly. But everything else was excellent. The woman making the omelettes was a true artist. I also asked for a chai latte, and they brought a fresh made one over from the Longboard Cafe in the lobby. It was
My servers, Abby and Allison, were an absolute delight. Friendly, attentive, great with recommendations and small talk, but not too in your face. Everyone I interacted with seemed genuinely happy to work there. There was an overall happy vibe that was soooo welcoming.
My entire experience at the resort was outstanding, and the meals and service were beyond anything I’ve experienced in a long time. I will definitely make an effort to come back out here again.

Today was sunny and warm so we started the week off right by taking advantage of early voting. We went to the library near the ocean to vote and luckily got there before the line was out in the parking lot. Since it took us around 90 minutes we chose to find a place for lunch before heading home!
We drove an extra 2 miles into Wrightsville Beach to Solstice which is located in the Holiday Inn Resort right on the beach! Our lunch capped off the day; Deb had the Chicken Sandwich and I had Shrimp Tacos! The food was great and since it is not in season we were seated immediately and our server Wendy helped us have a casual lunch!
