The food was flavorless, not attractive in appearance look just thrown together and the customer service was poor too. They didn’t have any customers – zero and the only one she had she made me feel like I was stealing the nasty food that I wish I would’ve tasted there instead of waiting to go home to try. This was just vegetables no meat so made with love was the missing ingredient. I will not go back and continue to support TROPICAL with better seasoned food and appreciate customers when they’re there.

Visited this place while in the city, and the food was absolutely amazing! I ordered the stew chicken really really good but what took the cake was the owner giving me a free sample of her pea soup. It was so good I had to order a full bowl! The Irish Sea Moss drink was deli’s and smelled as good as it tasted. Thank you for the great customer service and delicious food. I’ll definitely be visiting again!

Truly Deserving of a Review!!
I’ve had my account for over a decade and have probably only written 3 or 4 reviews in total (not even sure how to check)—but Hill’s Carib Flava absolutely deserves one.
I rarely eat out because I love to cook and usually end up disappointed with restaurant food. But after a great workout at Gold’s Gym last week, I was craving Jamaican food and decided to give this place a shot. I had only tried Jamaican food once before, and while I enjoyed it, it wasn’t memorable enough to make me go back the next day. Hill’s changed that instantly.
I ordered the Jerk Chicken and Curry Goat meals and had a picnic with my aunt at the Paterson Great Falls. The falls were roaring after recent rain, and Hill’s matched that intensity with incredible flavor—rich, bold, and comforting.
The woman at the counter was incredibly kind. When I mentioned my aunt was waiting in the car, she offered us two chicken soups—such a thoughtful gesture, and the soup was delicious.
This weekend is Eid, and I’ll be calling in an order for 8 to share this amazing food with my family. Hill’s Carib Flava is now my favorite restaurant. If you haven’t been yet—go. You won’t regret it.

I got the Curry chicken and it was more bone than chicken. I won’t be going back. I was very disappointed. Sorry. The lady that worked there was nice but if I’m putting calories in my body, I want food that’s worth it.

Saw this was rated highly so went for it. People and service was great but I was seriously disappointed with the food itself. Food lacked taste and spice and was not at all worth the cost. Not representative of true Jamaican food.

Stopped by for something savory and HOLY ITS SO GOOD. The flavor was melting on my tongue. The chicken was so perfect it just slides off the bone. The sauce over the rice is amazing too.
