I wanted to like it for the price but the food was not good. We ordered chicken fried rice, crab ran goons, orange chicken, and wings. 120$ worth of food, the orange chicken and the wings were decent but nothing special. Crab ran goons were soupy with barely any filling. The rice was the worst part, it was literally just white rice, zero flavor or seasoning. The chicken seemed like it was, boiled? I sent my friend a picture and she asked why was there potato in the rice. Worst I’ve ever had, left very disappointed would not go back.

Very nice service. The food was fresh and prepared perfect and the drinks were great. We can not wait to return.

I had a very disappointing experience at Red 8 inside Encore Boston Harbor. I was looking forward to a quality Asian dining experience, but unfortunately, it fell far short of expectations. The food was excessively oily and overly spicy, even though I didn’t request spicy dishes. The flavors were heavy and unbalanced, and it left me feeling uncomfortable after the meal.
Service was also lacking. The staff didn’t offer any help or suggestions when we asked about the menu, and overall they seemed indifferent and rushed. For a restaurant in a luxury hotel, I expected a much higher level of attention and hospitality.
The prices were surprisingly high for what was served — very basic dishes with subpar quality. I wouldn’t mind paying a premium if the food and service matched, but this was not the case. To make matters worse, the actual interior of the restaurant looked nothing like the elegant photos shown on the website. It felt more like a casual eatery than a fine dining spot.
Overall, I was very dissatisfied with Red 8. I would not return or recommend it. There are far better dining options both inside and outside the hotel.

This is the BEST Cantonese restaurant outside of Boston! They are a meticulous restaurant with a great emphasis on providing the best attention to detail in their ambiance, plating, and service.
I highly recommend their Peking Duck, sweet and sour pork, and those fat and juicy clams in black bean sauce!
Definitely a must try!
Given that the restaurant is inside Encore Boston Harbor casino, diners under 21 years old go through a different door. Talk to the hostess and they will open the door for them from the hallway.

This place has amazing food. I was there for Chinese New year with friends. The food was AMAZING. Very authentic. Great service. I cannot say enough good things about this place. Outside they also had had a tea spot and the milk tea was great as well.

Overall good Chinese food, but not at the high quality. Compare to the food, dishes are bit over pricy (not too much). Service was okay, but not the best. Atmosphere is quite nice and enjoyable for most of the customers. All of the menu we tried was at a good level; not great, nor bad.

It’s in the Wynn, so sure, maybe some higher prices. In general, their food is good and above average, but after eating here a few times, I just get the duck or pork belly. Delicious and crispy skin, and the only place in Boston that can rival the Peking duck you find in NYC.
Service always meets expectations and the main dining room looks out at the casino, so fine, but nothing special. But the duck is outstanding.

Came here for dinner with a group reserved in a private room. We ordered Peking duck , lobsters , steamed fish , veggies , crabs , oysters, scallops , clams and fried rice . It was nice quiet setting inside the private room and we have our host and servers . Pretty good services but the food was nowhere near Chinatown’s authenticity and flavors. It was pretty basic and more Americanize Chinese food. We enjoyed the company and atmosphere here since that’s the only upside.

First time eating here, and overall it was a good experience. The food was pretty tasty, although the scallops were a bit overcooked. The kobe beef potstickers were delicious, and ultimately, the chocolate chow mein dessert was incredible.
It was definitely a spot I’d likely come back to if I visit again, I appreciated that it was accommodating for small kids (separate door to enter in, high chairs, and friendly staff).

Firstly I must say I value (in chronological order) food, service and ambience. Red 8 was a 5 across the board! I planned my mother’s 60th Birthday celebration at Red 8, it was a group of 18 guests so booking had to go through Encore. I had the pleasure of working with Cassidy who was responsive, patient and shared great ideas/options to make the event custom to our liking (custom menu, balloons, poster etc). The venue is incredibly beautiful with splashes of gold, red and blue with elevated elegance. Our servers Ricky and Iris were phenomenal. Ricky was incredibly honest, knowledgeable and guided me through the menu throughout the night. Iris was incredibly attentive and ensured all guests were served and taken care of. The events manager and shift manager were so welcoming and friendly. As I mentioned to start, food is usually top for me but after the service we received at RED 8, I don’t think I can accept anything less. Highly recommend Red 8 Encore for your next group event.
