I placed an order through doordash. I ordered the chicken over yellow rice with a side of vegetabl I called the store because I was concerned that it might be dry because it was not served with any kind of sauce. I spoke with the owner’s wife for 7 minutes because we were just hitting it off and I felt like we had some kind of rapport going. We talked about her business and the fact that her husband ran it and that he took pride in his cooking I was super excited. She listed about six different sauces that I could choose to have with it on the side I chose the Urban sauce. I said to please make sure it was on the side in case I did not like it. What arrived was bland chicken, , Asian vegetables, and yellow rice all mixed together and then drenched in their special sauce that I asked for on the side. Did not like the sauce!!!! Was unable to eat it because I did not like the sauce. Huge disappointment! Not to mention super confusing. You have chicken(with no flavor) mixed with Asian vegetables mixed with Spanish yellow rice topped with a mayonnaise based American sauce I typically do not leave bad reviews and I definitely support local, but this……..

I don’t think these guys have a real cultural understanding of exactly what a Philly cheese steak sandwich is supposed to be. I mean, it wasn’t terrible but it was so greasy that I just about had to eat it with a knife and fork. Probably because they slathered it with mayonnaise. It also had some kind of spice on it that tasted like chili powder or something similar. I actually went there for shawarma, which was advertised on a banner out front and they didn’t even have.
