My sister and I still talk about that boudin sausage! Delicious, savory and juicy, and way bigger than I was expecting, like the size of a large banana (I’m still talking about food). An appetizer order comes with 2 links, and I remember thinking, since we have 3 people, maybe I should get 2 orders? Then the sweet young man who was helping us brought it out, and both me and my sisters’ eyes popped out in shock and awe. He thought we just never had boudin before and was unsure about it, but we have (so we know that this was good boudin sausage!). But for the price, I was expecting smaller.
Everything we had was delicious. I especially enjoyed the grilled shrimps addon to the chicken and sausage gumbo. The shrimps tasted fresh, perfectly seasoned, well-seasoned, and had that great grilled flavor. The turnip greens we also really liked, savory and had a good kick from the spice but not too spicy.
Service was nice, prompt and attentive without hovering. Great value for the price.
We were not even planning on having dinner and were just stopping for gas (this place is attached to the gas station but not accessible from inside the convenience store). Decided to go inside on a whim and so glad we did!

We went here as we wanted something quick on the way back to our hotel. When we walked in and sat down, our waitress notified us that there would be a small wait on our food due to an entire softball team walking in prior to us. We appreciated our waitress notifying us and giving us the notice, but we chose to stay due to other places getting ready to close anyways and the good reviews here.
With that being said, we ordered and had our food within roughly 30 minutes. It may seem like a long time but for the party of softball individual ahead of us, it was really good timing for the kitchen. In addition, there was one waitress who appeared to be working majority of the time by herself taking care of the floor. Despite her noticeably looking stressed out by the rush of people who came in, her personality and customer service never wavered. She remained friendly and had a smile interacting with us and the table across from us with the unruly kids and constant nagging adults. Whoever the waitress is with black hair and glasses, you did a great job.
Now, the food was good also. It was our first time trying gumbo and we both enjoyed it. I wished the gumbo would have been a bit spicier but I added Tabasco to my liking. Overall, it was a great experience and we enjoyed it.
Side note: I will add that this restaurant is attached to a gas station. It is a separate business but keep that in mind when parking. The business is separate, but it’s a shared parking lot.

Menu didn’t accurately show it’s pricing for the food we ordered or what came with it. Food was alright tasting and was portion size was good. Only had a single waitress serving people. Long wait time for our food for how slow the place was when we ate.

Delicious boudain balls. Loved the hamburger steak special with yummy Mac n cheese and mashed potatoes with gravy. Sis said her club sandwich was good. Mom had Pontchartrain pasta and twas very good. Nice atmosphere, cool art. I would recommend if you have some time to chill.

My first time in Louisiana and stopped by here to get some AMAZING food. Martel took care of us and made us feel at home. He talked us through the menu and told us about the amazing Boudin links for appetizers. The creole carbonara was phenomenal! So flavorful! Shrimp and fish fried to perfection. Martel has an amazing personality and shows amazing hospitality. So glad we came here to grab a bite to eat.

Been in Ruston for years, never heard any one talk about this place, now I see why. Had a friend come to visit and he saw this place on google and wanted to try it. One of the worst restaurants I’ve ever been to, and the worst period here in Ruston Louisiana. The service the whole time was abysmal and they didn’t even come out to see us for like 10 min, we were leaving when they came out to greet us. The food looked really good but It was so boring and bland, Mc Donalds has more flavor. We didn’t even come close to finishing because it was just not good. I did get the rest to go and ate some more later, that was a mistake, the Mac & Cheese made me sick and they dumped a ton of pepper in it for some reason. I would not recommend this place!

I am an OTR owner operator trucker and didn’t have time to stop and eat in. I normally do not leave this kind of details review on my encounters with places that have truck parking and have real restaurants for us truckers to eat at. We get tired of the fake fast food and we need places like these, that serve real meals. With that being said, I regret to have to even leave this here but I shouldn’t have been charged so much for food that I literally had to recook. I was sitting there for a while hour for my Togo order. I paid over 60 dollars for everything. Plus 15 dollars at the bar totalling 75 dollars. I was told it would be a few more minutes for my shrimp boil while my other items sat on a cold counter for the entire hour pretty much. When I asked about my order she said 2 or 3 more min….. and 30 min later it was finally ready. OMG but It wasn’t done apparently cause I had to recook it in my truck. 10 min and the potatoes still weren’t soft enough to eat. It wasn’t even seasoned right. I had to season it. I should have known cause I said I wanted the shrmp boil and the waitress corrected me saying we only have boiled shrimp with potatoes and corn. I thought it was the same thing. Silly me. It was extremely bland with little to no flavor. As for the chicken strips, French fries and fried green tomatoes…. all cold from sitting in the counter and the tomatoes were soggy. I will not be back there unless I can sit inside and hopefully get my order hot and crispy. Maybe then it would be worth it. Who knows? ♀️ I used a different container and seasoned it myself plus added more shrimp cause it wasn’t enough of those. Smhh. Too costly for the trouble.

My food was awesome ! The place appeared clean , lots of seating and outdoor dining as well. I had Jambalaya. My husband had fried fish platter , he said it was very good , bit salty but otherwise great ! I will definitely remember this exit when passing by again !

Holy Moly. Cajun goodness.
The Boudin balls were amazing with their homemade sauces. I honestly wanted more of just those and you can’t go wrong either way on the sauces. The Cajun Cheeseburger was massive and delicious. I already want to go back for the Creole Carbonara. I can’t say enough good things about it. It was enough for two meals honestly.
The staff was also wonderful and very polite. I wish we either lived closer or there was one in DFW, TX. Can’t wait to stop here again!

Food was served quickly and hot. Plenty of seating and you will be seated almost immediately by one of the friendly staff. I would have to say that I thought the prices were expensive when ordering but after they brought the plates out the good portions matched the prices.
