Overall the food is good, but everything else needs work. Atmosphere is bad, layout is strange. Servers are nice, but not enough of them. Very loud, hard to talk. I did enjoy the food though.

The food tastes great. My only complaint is if you get sides they are almost nonexistent. We got a couple of sandwiches from them and that was the fries that came with the burger.(not worth $13+) (Which mind you, the burger is way smaller than the bun. ) otherwise really good place.

We ordered six dishes, and it took 45 minutes to serve them completely. The food was so great that we forgot to complain about the slow service. The atmosphere was good; inside was noisy due to a barely working fan, and the restrooms were not very commendable.

This place is a gem in Staunton. Interesting food that you won’t find anywhere else locally. The Torta Mexicana is one of the tastiest things I’ve ever had. Delicious. Wings have an interesting and delicious sauce. The owner is great. The only downside is the seating is tight and configured weird. If it’s a nice day, eating on the patio is great. Service can be slow, but worth the wait.

This was the most incredible Latin food I have ever tried in my life! Honestly, the best meal I’ve had at a restaurant since I can remember!!!
The Pupusas and Street Tacos were incredible! The sauces included with the street tacos were soooo good! And the Pupusas as a whole were THE BEST!!! The chorizo cheese and the carnitas beans cheese Pupusas were the best ones!! The chicken cheese was also very good!
Overall incredible meal, it had me dancing around at the table and after the meal. 100% the best food in Staunton VA!!
Tasted like it was made with love. I don’t normally leave written reviews, but this felt needed.

First time visiting. Nice patio. Quiet. Burrito and potatoes were very good. The biscut and gravy was dry biscut, cold gravy with no meat. Overall would visit again and try something else.

good breakfast spot right on the creek/river. Food was very good and the service was some of the kindest and very hospitable young folks I have encountered in a while. so if you need somewhere to go in your comfy clothes to throw some wholesome food on last night’s alcohol driven extravaganza, then look no further. oh and trust me, it will be very hard to find a place that is such a bang for your buck! all of us aren’t rolling in the , so we need a good meal that’s easy on the pockets, and this is it!

I tried the carne asada based on recommendation of the wait staff. The best part was the sauces you could tell they were made in house with care. The presentation was nice too. Unfortunately the skirt steak was wayyy overcooked and tough and all they give you is a butter knife. When I asked for a steak knife the waitress brought me another butter knife and told me to try that. When I told her that wouldn’t work any better she said she would go look for another knife. By the time she got back 15 min later It was too late.
The place was dead and yet it took a good 30 min for my food to come out. I really wanted to like this place but I’m not sure I would try it again.

We had a very good meal at Latin Soul Restaurant. Dog friendly in the covered outdoor seating! Always a big plus. We tried three of the menu items on this trip. The ceviche, soupa de res, and baleadas. All were tasty. The ceviche could use a couple more chips on the side. The ones that come with it get soggy, but it’s still damn good. My food friend had the soup and enjoyed it. Large chunks of Veg and meat cooked well. The baleadas were great! It was my first and definitely not my last. You should try one if you’re out for brunch. The place had plenty of seating. A nice-looking little bar and covered outdoor seating. It was clean with a super friendly waitress who was on point with her service and recommendations. If you are in the area looking to grab a tasty bite, check Latin Soul out!

Was pretty excited to enjoy a good breakfast before my train ride BUT was very disappointed! There were maybe 5 other tables occupied that morning, so wasn’t crowded at all, that being said there were only 2 staff working,1 server/bus/cashier and the cook. Ordered the biscuits and gravy, worst ever! On my plate was the eggs over easy(warm) biscuits and gravy(COLD) potatoes(room temp). The biscuits tasted and seemed like the ones you buy frozen and just thawed in the fridge then placed on my plate along with some white gravy, can’t even describe the taste since I’ve never tasted anything similar to compare it to. Wife ordered the Salvadorian breakfast the temp of the food on her plate was random as well. Very disappointing to read all the positive reviews about the food here to experience the complete opposite. Go elsewhere for breakfast, you’ll thank me
