I really enjoyed this place the first time I went several months ago, I was not expecting the live d.j which was really good. He played great music. There’s also hookah there as well, ( try the orange, mint, & blueberry mixed) it’s really good! The food was amazing, the portions were really nice. The owner/head chef came out to greet everyone. Tonight (10/17/22) I decided to stop in and get the Cajun shrimp and Mac and cheese. It was very good however the shrimp had a little grit in it. Had it not been for that it would have earned another star.. but I would definitely give them another chance if I was in the area.

Music: 10/10 (especially after the DJ arrived)
Environment: 7/10 (some areas are a little aged but that’s not a big deal for me… not like I live there)
COVID precautions: 10/10 sanitizer EVERYWHERE temperature checks, tables separated, lots of floor space
Went on a Saturday around 7 (ended up staying until 1:30am lol) Michelle was our server she was super sweet and always checked on us. The general manager made sure we were pleased
Food was so good, I was full and still kept eating. after a short nap I turnt up with the DJ who was also amazing (lol I didn’t really nap but one would have been nice)
The jerk chicken was mild enough for my heartburn issues yet flavorful inside and out… you can request more spice (maybe next time when I have my tums) because I do love spice but spice doesn’t love me
The shrimp and crab dip was yummy if the consistency was slightly thicker it would have been 15/10!
Blackened salmon and that magical spinach cream stuff was so good lol
$5 fishbowls for happy hour had us struggling but feeling good… snuck up real quick though haha we live close by so it was cool
Went for brunch 15 hours later … shrimp and grits were good! Bottomless mimosas, great menu options, hookah just good.

Maaan! Went to Starr Lounge last night & the FOOD… AMAZING! Had the Jerk burger… AMAZING! Thought it was a bit pricey until I bit it…Totally understand the pricing!!! Worth every penny! There was a live drummer there playing with the DJ which sounded AWESOME, we danced like college students and we’re waaay past college age! Not a big crowd which was perfect! Super cute spot! My fishbowl was straight koolaid, zero liquor but the food made up for it! HIGHLY RECOMMEND this place!

My favorite restaurant right now!!!! If you in Atlanta you need to adventure out. The Chef comes out and greet everyone. I never took a picture with chef until now!!!! As a neurodivergent individual, it’s rare for me to indulge in different cuisines due to the need for familiarity with the meals that I chose. However, this evening, I settled to take a leap of faith and can attest that I am absolutely gratified with this decision.
The food was-zero over-exaggeration- one of the best Southern comfort meals I have ever had the pleasure of enjoying. Without a shadow of a doubt, one can tell that the chef and the rest of the team put their hearts and devotion into the meals that they lovingly cook.
To start, the Blackened Salmon was absolutely divine and well-prepared, bursting with rich flavors with a drizzle of Cajun sauce that added a pleasant touch of onion, garlic, and herb-like tastes. I am honestly so glad that I asked for extra sauce.
The creamed spinach was incredibly enjoyable, also having flavors of garlic and a dash of parmesan cheese that paired well with a fair amount of yellow rice. Lastly, there came six sweet, lightly charred, and deliciously caramelized Fried Plantains.
I will be ordering from this restaurant again. I am waiting patiently for the day when they add drinks and desserts to their Doordash menu.

My friends and I stopped by this place and it was great. The food was Great. I didn’t like my drink (the westside), but everyone else enjoyed theirs. The music and dj was great. Although, the service could have been a little better. I had two different ladies. My first waitress took my second drink to the wrong table and she went missing for awhile to the point where a second waitress had to serve us. My second waitress was great. Outside of that I do recommend this place.

I have always enjoyed visiting Starr! I used to come almost every weekend until they closed and replaced my favorite Starr girls. The music and ambiance are fantastic. However, I had to deduct a star because the overall service was lacking. It took an hour and a half to receive my salmon salad, another hour and a half to get my drink, and my partner never received his drink at all. The servers seemed more focused on dancing and having a good time than attending to guests. The previous Starr girls managed to balance fun and efficiency, ensuring drinks arrived within 10 minutes. Despite this, I still love the place.
