The place has cute, charming decorations that create a warm and inviting atmosphere. As a fellow Peruvian, I truly felt at home from the moment I walked in.
The coffee is delicious, and their breakfast options are highly recommended. Don’t miss the desayuno Lurin, empanadas, the triple sandwich, the huachana sandwich, and the alfajores!!! — they are absolutely spectacular.
I highly recommend Valentina’s Bakery for anyone looking for genuine Peruvian flavors, excellent quality, and a welcoming, home-like atmosphere.
The interior is sleek and contemporary, with a few tables inside and additional seating outdoors. It was quite busy during our visit, with a steady stream of takeout orders and a lively atmosphere. While it can get a bit noisy—especially when the blenders are going for smoothies—the energy feels more festive than disruptive.
Valentina’s menu is where the magic happens. Deeply rooted in Peruvian culinary traditions, it also draws on Latin American influences to offer a creative and enticing range of dishes and pastries. The display case is a visual treat, but the savory offerings are just as memorable.
We ordered two breakfast sandwich combos: the Desayuno Limeño and the Desayuno Lurín, and both were excellent. Each combo included a freshly made tamal and a rich cup of coffee, making them a satisfying and well-rounded way to start the day.
The Limeño featured a Butifarra sandwich—a Peruvian classic made with savory slices of seasoned pork, red onion salsa (salsa criolla), and served on a soft roll. It was packed with flavor, with just the right balance of brightness and spice.
The Lurín combo came with a chicharrón sandwich, generously loaded with crispy, tender pork and a bit of sweet potato for a contrast in texture and flavor. Both sandwiches were hearty, delicious, and clearly made with care.
A standout touch was the house-made rocoto sauce and olive aioli served alongside—fresh, vibrant, and perfectly paired with the richness of the meats. These sauces elevated the whole experience and showed the attention to detail Valentina’s puts into even the smallest components of their dishes.
Whether you’re stopping by for a traditional Peruvian breakfast, a strong coffee, or something sweet from the bakery case, Valentina’s is absolutely worth the visit. It’s easy to see why it has such a loyal following—this is a place where quality, tradition, and creativity come together in every bite.

Valentina’s bakery empanadas are hands down, the best I have ever ate. The pastry is light and fluffy, the variations of fillings, beef, spinach, creamy chicken, is stuffed and phenomenal. Clearly the best that I have had. All HOIMEMADE, not out of a box.
The store seems to be Family run, the cakes and pastries that I have not yet tried look delicious. Next time I will certainly order a few varieties. The espresso is delicious.
Anyone who loves Mom and Pops, loves empanadas, cakes, coffee and other delicacies definitely needs to try Valentinas. You will be in for a treat.
The daughter’s owner, Valentina, suggested the chicken sandwich and their most popular dessert as i was in a hurry. She was professional and friendly.
Adorable decor in a sparkling, clean atmosphere. Tables are inside and outdoors.
Amazing selection of dessertsand treats. Very reasonable prices. The sandwich was $12. Highly recommend !!!
