Restaurant and coffee shop. I don’t do coffee so can’t speak to it but the food is very good. Focus is on Southwest American style (Green Chile Stew has a nice kick)but they have specials that run the gamut to German. Food gives a home cooked vibe and so far everything has been good to great. Small inside eating area with larger outside seating area. Some dedicated parking with roadside for remainder.

Great staff, cooks, service and food!! I e showed up 5 minutes before they were due to close and they gladly served us! After getting down the mountain and back into La Veta we needed food, and the Legends burger with cheese, all the fixings and flash fried red potatoes was exactly what our bodies needed! Accompanied with a cold Blue Moon and an Iced Chai Black Tea, our stomachs were full and we were happy! We’ll be back!!

Visiting for a wedding this weekend. Great coffee, great service and great food. I ordered something with vegan modifications and the chef came out and recommended something else that she would make custom, a veggie burrito with chile sauce. It was excellent and we came back all three days of our stay. Other members of our group had other breakfast burritos and French toast all very good. Highly recommend!

Here is a little gem in La Veta that I recommend. The food was tasty, the service was great and the atmosphere was perfect outdoors. It was a beautiful Easter day so we sat outside. While I’m unsure of their dinner arrangements, this was for brunch. Not busy and a fair amount of seating.

Delicious food, great service and a nice atmosphere. They provided us excellent service and allowed us to work remotely from their location as long as we liked. They were generous on the coffee and kindly kept checking in on us through the day.
I’d recommend the huevos rancheros it was an excellent dish for breakfast!

Excellent service and location on Main Street. The spinach layered enchilada was delicious! Outside seating to relax and enjoy your time with your friends and family.

Food was way over priced and was not good. 40 dollars for biscuits and gravy 1 egg and bacon plus eggs Benedict was told the hollandaise sauce was house made it absolutely was from a package. Didn’t finish either meal.
