I have had a lot of disappointments in sushi restaurants in the past, but I have to say, this was not the case!! Going into this restaurant, expectations were low, but I was definitely wrong. We started off with edamame, which was the perfect amount of seasoning, next we were given tempura tofu, which was absolutely delicious, it had the perfect amount of flavour and texture. Next we were given miso soup, which was perfect, first of all because it was actually vegan, my parents are vegan and I’m vegetarian – which was surprising because normally miso soups are not vegan, but these soups tasted just like the ones with fish dashi in them, so that was great! And then, the star of the fricking show. Was the sushi. We ordered avocado rolls, avocado cucumber rolls, some yam rolls and others, this sushi was so fresh, made well and overall sooooo yummy! the atmosphere was pretty nice and cute, and the staff was sweet and very very friendly. Overall – an incredible experience!! We would definitely come again!!!

I came here with my daughter because she requested to have sushi for her birthday dinner. The rolls we had were delicious and the staff was so kind to my daughter. They brought her fun markers to color with and a treat at the end of the meal, we’ll definitely be back

Had some hand rolls here the other day and they were good.
Ordered General Tso’s for lunch listed on their specials. Will not be doing that again. It was hot and fresh, but the chicken encased in the fried batter was really dry and tough. And the sauce really did taste very similar to bbq.
Fried rice was super good though, so was the spring roll.
Stick to the Japanese cuisine and you’ll be fine.

I arrived on an early Friday night. It was busy. I was seated and I didn’t get a menu until 15 minutes later. After I placed my order, it arrived fairly quickly. I ate the Firecracker roll and the Shoyu Ramen.
I personally don’t like sushi but the firecracker was AMAZING. I’m definitely coming back only for this dish.
Shoyu ramen was 1/10. Don’t bother.
The decor is pretty out dated. The place is wheelchair assessable. There is a parking garage right across this restaurant. There are a few parking spots outside but they were taken up at the time of visit.

I’ve walked by this place hundreds of times and never stopped in but I’m glad we finally did. Excellent, friendly service. The food was very good too. I didn’t want rice with my sashimi lunch and they gladly substituted a salad. Sashimi was very fresh and tasted great.

I got kitsune udon and added vegetables for $2. After my order was placed, they charged me an additional $2 for “special instructions” (…adding vegetables)
So I got charged $4 for 4 pieces of broccoli, some cabbage and carrot strips, and two slices of bell pepper. Are you kidding me? The food was fine, but that’s pathetic.

Why are people sleeping on Tokyo Sushi?? We recently stumbled on this gem and can’t seem to stay away! Their sushi is fantastic, and the value is unbeatable. Run by the sweetest family who always makes us feel welcome. Can’t say enough about how great this restaurant is!!
