Great food, huge portions, low prices, prompt and friendly service, what’s not to like?! The staff are very nice and responsive. The music is good vibes. You could feed an army here.

This is just how I like my Mexican cuisine.. no frills, and abundant!

It’s so cheap, even a 20% tip is a steal. Best to throw down 30% to give the staff what their worth.

We came in for lunch and we are so happy we did. The lunch menu is extensive and the portions are generous. I ordered the fish taco, but opted for the Dinner version as it was only one taco. I should have ordered the lunch taco because they were the biggest fish tacos I have ever seen. TWO full fillets in each taco, absolutely amazing. We’ll definitely be back, this place is definitely worth a visit, bring your appetite

Vallarta Mexican Restaurant in Bryson City is hands-down one of my favorite places to eat! The moment you walk in, you’re greeted with a warm, inviting atmosphere and some of the friendliest staff you’ll ever meet. The service is consistently excellent—our orders always come out quickly, and the servers go above and beyond to make sure everything is perfect. Their menu is impressively expansive, offering something for everyone, but my personal favorite is the fajita chimichanga. It’s packed with flavor, perfectly cooked, and comes sizzling hot, just the way I love it.
Every visit feels like a special treat, whether it’s a casual lunch or a night out with friends and family. The portions are generous, the ingredients taste fresh, and the flavors are authentic and bold. You can tell the kitchen takes pride in every plate they send out. Vallarta has mastered the balance of great food, top-notch service, and a welcoming vibe that keeps you coming back. If you’re ever in Bryson City, do yourself a favor and stop in—you’ll leave full, happy, and already planning your next visit!

We only had a margaritas but they were good. A little tart but overall good. Our server brought me a sangria to pour into my margarita because I told him it was so tart. He was the sweetest!
Overall I would love to experience their food but we were just looking for a hood drink.

Not much from the parking lot or even inside, but packed to the walls—first hint you’re in for something good. Seated in the back room just after three separate tables of ten had cleared out… and within 15 minutes, it was full again. That kind of constant flow says everything.

Menu is massive. Like, diner-level large. Chips and salsa were excellent—crispy, fresh, and not an afterthought like you get at some spots. We tried the poblano dinner and the pineapple chicken fajitas, and that pineapple dish was next level—served inside a split pineapple and sizzling all the way to the table. Sweet, spicy, cheesy, perfect.

Also worth noting: religious figurines and Spanish language signage throughout—always a sign you’re in a true local spot, not a tourist knockoff. Service was quick, prices were fair, and it’s clearly a favorite with families and groups. Can’t recommend this place enough if you’re in Bryson City and craving solid, flavorful Mexican food.

**Vallarta Mexican Restaurant – A Mixed Experience**

Vallarta Mexican Restaurant in Bryson City offers a solid dining experience with generous portions and visually appealing presentation. The dishes arrive looking well-prepared, making a good first impression.

However, while the food is decent, the flavors don’t quite stand out. It’s not bad by any means, but it doesn’t leave a lasting impression either—just an average taste that gets the job done.

Service, unfortunately, could use some improvement. While the staff is friendly, they were not attentive enough when it came to keeping the chips refilled, which is a small but noticeable detail in a Mexican restaurant.

Overall, Vallarta Mexican Restaurant provides a satisfying meal with good portion sizes and presentation, but the taste and service could be more refined to elevate the experience.

This establishment is very near the top if not at the top for restraunts of its style and class. What sets this place apart and closer to the top from others? Food Quality and Quantity or the say Food Portions are generous when you order a plate of food, you get a plate of food instead of your food with a side order of plate.Have eat here mostly several times take out since they opened and honestly can’t say one bad thing about this restraunt which says several things but what it speaks the loudest is Ownership,Administration and Employees take their business very seriously and set themselves to a high standard for quality.

Delicious food! Came here for Valentine’s Day dinner; we had the vallarta special, camarones chipotle, and a house margarita, all so tasty. The wait staff were friendly and very attentive.

We were told that Bryson City lacked “nicer” restaurants save for a couple places, and no one ever mentioned Vallarta. I would whole heatedly recommend this restaurant to anyone.

Friendly fast service. I was so happy that their lunch specials included Saturday. My Speedy Gonzalas was delicious. The ground beef had flavor as well as the Refried beans. They gave a generous amount of cheese and lettuce on my taco!
The enchilada also had a generous amount of beef inside which made me very happy.
The chips and salsa tasted fresh. Big Thank you!!
