Wow, we were not expecting the food to be this good. 10/10 The owner is Italian, and his food is top-notch. I had the soup of the day and their new chicken sandwich which was ground chicken Gouda, homemade bread (perfect soft, but crispy on the outside), and their homemade gravy dipping sauce on the side. The soup was absolutely phenomenal. All homemade & you can tell. Very very good food! The atmosphere there was the classic Northern Wisconsin bar, but with phenomenal restaurant quality food & clean. And very reasonable priced as well. They just opened back up a couple weeks ago I think, but I will definitely be back, holy crap. Great food. Great service. And they bring out a cookie at th end..on the house.

We walked into a fabulous dive bar. We walked out of a New York City Italian perfect cuisine dinner! The bean garlic soup was amazing. Our kids had Mac and cheese, we had spaghetti, and also tomato bisque that was addictive. We will be back. Plates and silverware are bar level. It’s not a restaurant but the food is 5-star level. Totally fine to bring kids, too!

I stayed at The Spider Lake Motel with my girlfriend last weekend and Dows was our main place to get some drinks during the stay. Our bartender Pam was AMAZING. She made us feel right at home and welcome right away and made us great drinks. Be sure to try the plunger shot if you visit! It’s truly an experience! The people were also very friendly and had no problem giving us suggestions of what to do in the area during our visit. Overall great little bar that has been there for a long time! If you are in the area and need a drink be sure to swing in and get some drinks!

Little, out of the way spot filled with fun people and great vibe. Pam was put on this earth to be a bartender! She’s great! Although you may find yourself drinking out of a toilet bowl plunger. Enjoy!!

One of our favorite ‘up north’ bars to stop at. Staff is always friendly and pour drinks well. Tap beer list is strong too (including Angry Minnow and multiple New Glarus brews). Make sure to check out the plunger shots.
