This is now our new favorite place. Wish I’ve known this place before. The food was delicious and generous. We had the Salmon Bento and Chicken Teri Plate. We loved it!!! It was a lot for me. I still have a lot left for dinner. Price was reasonable and staff were nice. Can be long wait but worth it.

Reasonably priced, good portions. I had the 10pc sushi roll plate, and upgraded to steamed veggies, but they came litly steamed, closer to raw than cooked. Edamame was good (hard to not make that peoperly).

My friend had the bento box w/chicken teriyaki. Salad dressing comes in 1oz to go containers, despite us dining in restaurant.

Atmosphere clean but hotel-room boring (I’m in my 50’s).

This place reminds me of my childhood of going with my grandma and eating in little Tokyo. There’s a lot of love and care put into the food and it really shows with the presentation. What really sets this place apart is the customer service. Some of the nicest owners I have met and always went out of their way to say hello to my 5 year old to make him feel special. I would also like to mention the price point is amazing for the amount of food and quality.

Teriyaki House is my long term relationship. Forget romance, I’m talking about Bentos. These Bento Boxes are stacked with so many different goodies it feels like opening a Korean surprise party every time. One box fed both my stomach and my soul. I will defend this place like it’s my hometown. 10/10 would recommend, especially if you like eating a lot and making good life choices.

This place is so good! The staff is so kind and quick. Their food is made fresh to order which is great because I’m really picky with chicken, but I ordered the chicken teriyaki with vegetables bowl and ate every piece! The chicken was so tender and didn’t have that “frozen 10 min ago” taste to it. We also got the chicken dumplings which were very tasty although I wish they came with sauce! But the soy sauce went well with it anyway. The store is clean and quaint. We will DEFINITELY be coming back.

This is a hidden gem for delicious, affordable, generously sized bento boxes and plates. They take pride in their presentation and they don’t have to do this, but they also included a lot of little extra items that compliment your meal. Like many have said, there’s a little bit of a wait but our teriyaki chicken was made fresh to order and worth it. BTW, this California Roll Plate with Teriyaki Chicken has another layer of rolls underneath, so 10 rolls total. With rising prices, it’s so nice to find a place that serves a great meal with super nice staff for under $11.

Service is a little slow during lunchtime as the kitchen backs up and they get pretty busy…order ahead if you’re in a hurry. That said…food is always hot a prepared upon order…portions are great and their garnish and compliments of sides are delicious. Definitely worth the price and the little bit of wait time to get a good meal. Just a cozy little privately-owned business and not a chain. Seating has a small area of tables, so if you are looking to sit down and dine in get there early, no large groups will fit in this cozy little place. There is no table service so you order at the counter and pick up at the counter. Take out is my preference. Had two bento boxes this time…photo attached

Really torn on score at this place, but rounding up for reasons I will lay out.

Food taste and quality is what I would expect from a fast casual teriyaki restaurant. Not the best I’ve ever had, but very good. 4 stars.

Things get better from here. Called in my order since my lunch was short today. Was an easy process, fast and friendly.

Arrived shortly after and food was ready to go. Nice lady and everyone greeted you when you walk in. So I get home and open the order. They don’t miss a thing here. I ordered the chicken and beef teriyaki, side shrimp and miso soup. The condiments are what really got me. Pickled cabbage, cucumbers, pickled yellow daikon joust to name a few. I usually alway order hot sauce, but didn’t this time because with have it at home, but they packed that too. Side of teriyaki and cocktail sauce rounded out all the sides. Very rare to get that level of condiments without even asking.

Definitely will be returning when I have the teriyaki craving!

Weighted score, 5.1, explanation below. So, this is a very earnest food establishment. The shop gives off a vibe that the staff have a strong desire to please with their product. The furnishings and decor are nice, dated, such that you feel you are in the 90’s or 00’s, which isn’t bad here as it is clean and in good shape. Environment inside cuts out the outside in a good way, could easily spend a few hours with company and not realize how much time had passed outside. Food is very good. Though I like my teriyaki chicken with slightly more salt and garlic, but was just fine, some would likely appreciate it more as is anyway. Macaroni salad was great. House made thousand island dressing, was fine. Picked ginger and cabbage were good. This meal was all around very good, felt like going to someone’s home for a meal. Last bit that put it over the top for intent to please (weighted addition), they give an individually wrapped wafer in a plastic bag sealed with a thank you sticker. I can’t think of another food location that has gone to such lengths to please, amazing, got .5 added to overall score. Will come again, will bring others, anytime want teriyaki am coming here, best teriyaki plate that I know of in So. Cal., cannot recommend enough. Thank you for the delightful meal.

Food is so good and prices are really cheap for what you get! It takes some time to get your food because they cook to order but the wait is so worth it.
