While some things have changed over the last few decades, El Pollo Loco’s delivery of fresh, authentic food has not. Everything starts with whole chickens that are slowly marinated in a special recipe of herbs, spices, fruit juices and garlic. The chicken is then expertly fire-grilled to perfection the authentic way – on our signature open-flame grills – then hand cut into your favorite Mexican entrees. We put that same dedication and care into our handmade guacamole, salsas and dressings every day. At El Pollo Loco in Irvine,CA, we believe that when real food meets real fire the result is great taste that will keep you coming back again and again.
Fast-food chain outpost known for Mexican classics made with fire-grilled chicken.

Reviews
The service is great, they are fast and efficient and generous.
The ambiance is casual with some good music playing, the music is played at a slightly above average sound level. Seats are cushioned and well lit with some outdoor seating is some nice weather.
I tried to bring it to the team’s attention because this is a food safety issue. On top of that, my double chicken bowl had other problems as well — there was a huge uncut tomato thrown in there and even random pieces of macaroni mixed into the bowl.
After eating, I ended up with an upset stomach.
Response to the owner:
I also wasn’t impressed with the generic AI-style response to my review. I’m currently on a strict diet and mostly eat chicken asada and eggs, which is why I attempted to eat here for both breakfast and lunch. My concern is simple and serious: the chicken I was served was undercooked. That’s something that needs real attention, not a copy-paste reply.
