Sadly, you do not find restaurants like this too often these days. Warm, cozy & authentic sums up my experience. The staff really feel like a family & their hospitality is refreshing!

Sushi rolls are bad. They have a bright orange liquid coming from them. And the salmon is shredded?? Don’t get the spicy salmon roll. I didn’t change the saturation. This is what they look like.

Food was excellent, freshly made entrees and appetizer. We got a free appetizer on the house! It was delicious!! Server was very gracious and polite. We loved the decor in the resteraunt. It was very traditional and aesthetic. Good choice of food.

I love the authenticity of this place. The food was good overall. But we’ll stick to just sushi next time. We tried their sashimi platter and half of it was still frozen. We could feel the iciness of it when we chewed it. After telling the waitress, the owner came to tell us that it wasn’t frozen, just very cold. I’m not going to argue with them about it. It was nice for her to come over. But not a good look to dismiss a customer’s feedback.

I’ve been coming here pretty much since they’ve open with my family. My aunt and I come here about twice a month for our lunch or dinner dates and they never disappoint! The service is always friendly and the food always tastes fresh. They’re also very accommodating with food modifications/substitutions and always give a complementary appetizer to everyone who dines in.

With a huge selection of Sushi places in Massapequa (at least 4 between Sunrise and Souther State), for us there’s only one choice.
The others pale in comparison on every count : ambiance, speed of service and quality of food at Kiku bring us back once or twice a week. Not just Sushi, but the specialities (Bimibap) and table service is just the nicest. the pickup service is always accurate and ready in time.
