We ordered ravioli, chicken, lamb sausage, beet salad, spaghetti squash fritters, bread and butter and desserts. (Seasonal dishes, the menu does change) The food was flavored to perfection and portions ideal. The apple dessert reminded us of Amsterdam when we ate the “best” apple pie in the world. Don’t skip dessert!!! The drinks, alcohol and mocktails are also worth trying. I already texted my friends and said date night here!! A must to drink and eat

We had an amazing time at Rooted this past Saturday. The food was outstanding and the menu matched the fall season! We started off with the Brussels sprout bruschetta, which we’d learned was a new addition to the menu. It was hands down the best twist on bruschetta that I’ve ever had!! Not only were the ingredients fresh but the bread was out of this world. My boyfriend ordered the salmon – which was delicious – and I had the burger, which was balanced well with cheese, bacon and sauce. Plus, the fries were awesome. It was so hard to choose a dessert, because everything sounded amazing! We settled on the apple pastry. It was served fresh and right out of the oven. It had the best flaky texture and melted in your mouth. Not only was the food amazing, but the restaurant itself is beautiful, and the service was incredible. I wish I remembered our server’s name. She was very nice, accommodating, and she made some great recommendations! I am so glad she turned me on to the Pear Perfection cocktail, which was the perfect fall drink! The best part was that the price was very affordable for the quality of food and quality of service! It is the perfect place for a date night out. We will definitely be back at Rooted again! The fall menu was amazing… can’t wait to try the next one!!

This is an excellent restaurant. The salmon was perfectly cooked, medium rare in the inside, perfectly crusted on the outside. My wife had the pork loin which we were able to cut with a butter knife. We had the beet appetizer which might have been our favorite dish of the entire night. Not to mention the cocktails which were delicious.. we will definitely be coming again soon!

We had an absolutely fantastic time at Rooted celebrating my graduation. Lexi was incredibly personable and made us feel so welcome. She anticipated all our needs and went above and beyond to make our experience memorable. Every dish and drink was packed with flavor- we especially loved the grilled romaine, chicken, sourdough brownie, and emperor’s garden cocktail. We had the chance to meet Chef Eddie and were very impressed by his passion for food and hospitality. We will definitely be visiting Rooted again and can’t wait to try the new dishes as the seasons change.

Everything was fantastic! Not being a drinker myself I’m always kind of bummed when going to a place like this with such beautiful drinks. Absolutely LOVE that they had a full mocktail menu! The apple spritz was delicious !! The focaccia bread and tallow was the perfect start to the evening . The meal and dessert had some of the best flavor combos I’ve ever had. Tyler was an exceptional waiter. Personable and so attentive! We will definitely be back!

We recently hosted our Christmas party at Rooted in Minooka for a group of 17, and the experience was absolutely fantastic!
The evening began with a stand-up gathering for appetizers and drinks, which was perfect for mingling and conversation. The appetizers were creative and delicious, Brussels sprout bruschetta, lamb meatballs, and spaghetti squash fritters were all crowd favorites.
After enjoying cocktails and appetizers, we transitioned to a family-style dinner. One of the best things about Rooted is that you can work directly with the owner and chef to create a custom family-style menu for your event. Our dinner featured braised beef cheeks with carrots and parsnips, and every bite was rich and flavorful.
The drink menu deserves special mention. Some of our favorites included the Hibisco Margarita, Pear Pressure, Vesper Martini, Bourbon Old Fashioned, and Espresso Martini. Rooted also offers a seasonal menu of winter and Christmas cocktails, Vixen and Cozy Nights were standouts, but honestly, every drink was excellent.
We ended the night on a sweet note with apple pie and vanilla ice cream, the perfect finish to an incredible meal.
Overall, Rooted delivered an exceptional experience, amazing food, creative drinks, attentive servers, talented bartenders, and a warm, inviting atmosphere. Small menu = Phenomenal food. We have been here multiple times and it never disappoints. The cocktails are also well designed and made. The owners have been present and engage with guest. Just can’t go wrong at Rooted. Please please keep it going, it’s hard to find consistency that is better than good but great.

Still dreaming about brunch at this farm-to-table gem. From the moment we walked in, the cozy atmosphere made us feel so welcome. The late morning light streaming through big windows gave the space an inviting, lived-in feel. We ordered the Farmer’s Breakfast and the Eggs Benedict, and both dishes absolutely delivered. The simple ingredients were done perfectly: Every bite tasted fresh, hearty, and thoughtfully sourced—comfort food elevated by quality.
